ALSO!
The car is a 2013 RR Sport. Washed 1 time, with very, very light swirls. It is my GF's car, and will unfortunately see some improper wash techniques.
Granted I clay, and IPA, will I have no issues?
Does anyone even attempt to polish during heavy pollen? If so, whats your method?
It seems like the car gets covered right after a wash, towels etc.
And one or two small pollen molecules can really marr the surface.
Claybar first of course, then use 105 on an orange pad and see how it works. My most recent daily driver was covered in those bad boys. Some will suggest a vinegar on a towel and let it sit.
Some of you may have been following my post with questions about wetsanding here -
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/59934-have-i-gone-mad-roller-painting-my-mercedes-wetsand-s.html
Well today I finished the car up, putting it back together and wiping it down.
The total...
4 coats
This is after a quick wetsanding with 800. You can see some spots where I wasnt getting good coverage and caused "lines".
Another 2 coats going on then wetsand with 1000.
And another 2.
Yes, Yes you hear me right.
I am doing a Rustoleum $50 paint job on my project 1985 300D.
I have about 3 coats on and I am ready to wet sand to remove some orange peel
I am going to use 800 grit wet.
I have never wet sand anything in my life. I have a sanding block, and soaked sandpaper...
I bought a cheap Bissell tonight and was telling a friend, who told me he knows someone getting rid of this for cheap :
Betco FiberPro Carpet Spotter | 3.5 Gallon | E85509-00 | D'Orazio Cleaning Supply
