I'm born and raised in Miami, FL and was stationed on Oahu, HI from 2010-2013. While Florida has more humidity and higher temps, the UV index is much, much higher in Hawaii. You don't need a chart as proof, you can be outside for an hour and get sunburned no matter your complexion...anyway...

Ok team, going to go with the shop my local BMW dealer recommends. Going to show up with the new bumper on, have them remove it, paint it, then re-install it. This will hopefully avoid a ton of issues that could have arose based on my original plan. Thanks for the guidance everyone, I'll post...

Great job and thanks for taking the time to post your work! Side bar...what's your method for cleaning the jams withouth spraying the interior?-- sheeting the water instead of using a nozzel?

To those aprehensive about the 3M tape, aren't most factory lip spoilers just stuck on with double-sided tape? That's how my sister's Lexus IS is. What am I missing here?

Mike, you of all people would appreciate the retro-fit. When it's done it'll be on coil overs, exhaust, downpipe, new rims, and all OEM m-Tech. Will definitely contact the (only) dealer in my parts of the woods and see where they recommend, thanks brother.

Definately! Over spray scares me. When I was stationed on the west coast my beater car was left at the mercy of my parents/sister. Came home to discover it was in a minor collision and the shop that reparied it got over spray everywhere!-- engine bay, side view mirror, adjacent panels, etc...
