    temporarily protecting scratches

Just got nice and easy on the wet sanding. One pass, check it, one pass, check. Always work with a high number and go down if it's not leveling out enough. Less is more, and patience is a virtue, you will be fine. I chunked out a piece of my door down to the metal a few months ago getting out...

    1999 Cobra Detail - 7years sitting

It won't allow me to edit the original post, but here is an example of what the clay looked like after about a 12 sq. in. area. Results were similar over most of the car:

    1999 Cobra Detail - 7years sitting

This car sat in a musty garage for a few years, then outside in the sun, uncovered, for about 3 years. Unfortunately, rust played a part in some of the undercarriage, but it's not TOO bad. The paint is really cleaning up nice, but it's far from perfect. There is other misc. bodywork needed as well.

    1999 Cobra Detail - 7years sitting

Little background on this car: This is my buddy Matt's 99 Cobra that he has had since 2002, and has only been on the road for the past 9 months after sitting a little over 6 years, so it's got it's fair share of built up dirt. Sorry for the thead jack, but it should be better than starting a new one. Do you guys have any tricks on getting M105 removed easily, or am I just working the compound too long? It seems like even after i get the pad primed, it still takes a good bit of work to remove the compound? This is on...

A Work In Progress: '96 Chevy Astro Van

Yeah i would definitely step down the pad size for a rotary, too much rotating mass as well so it's harder to control your work area.

Sealer and Sealer plus wax before and afters

Bottom looks better, you can see the white in your shirt more, but I also think it looks like it was a little more sunny. It does look like theres a little more "smoothness" to the paint too.

Taking my little cousin (10) to the Penguins game tomorrow, then running a 10k on Sunday. I am pretty excited for both! Wish I could take my car out, but it's supposed to rain all weekend.
