    Mobile setup question

---- The pressure washer is self-priming and a pump is not required. ---- Regarding the foam lance, try this one. It's the EXACT same item everybody else sells. ---- What generator to buy? What you have to keep in mind is the basic math regarding power is [volts x amps= watts]. The PW runs on...

    detail king products

I took their training two years ago and had a great time and learned a lot. Detail King's training focuses on two parts: the business aspect of starting a detailing business on day 1 and how to use the equipment and products on day 2. The downside is if the class has a large attendance, you may...

    Generator questions

Some equipment won't operate correctly on modified-sine wave inverters found on most inexpensive generators, especially digital devices such as desktop computers or digital clocks. The Honda EU series generators use a "pure-sine wave" inverter that produces 120/240vac that is as clean as or...

Mike, Looks really sweet. Have you used bonnets on orbital polishers to remove wax, or do you prefer hand removal? Thanks. Jim Green

    A $96,867 bottle of wax

A bottle of wax from Mitchell and King, a company in Scotland, features gold glitter and comes in a 24 karat gold bottle costs "only" $96,867 -- and they deliver -- if they accept your money. I wonder if they'll take a check? The $96,867 bottle of car wax that your ride doesn?t deserve |...

    Headlight restoration splatter

When restoring headlights, what system do you prefer when sanding/polishing headlights? I think the Griot's Garage 3" polisher is ideal in size and power and would cut down the amount of splatter vs a rotary (drill). I've also sanded headlights by hand which takes a long time.

I wonder if the Tornador is good at removing scales from frying pan-sized Walleye's? :hungry:

Just ordered the diamondite headlight restoration

I, too, have the Diamondite Professional kit. The problem I've experienced is if the lens is heavily pitted from road rash, you'll need to sand the surface down to a new layer first, then polish and seal the lenses. I tried this kit on a set of 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan lights and it made the...

    Does Lessee pay Property Tax?

I'd show the lease to an attorney to ensure the lease is legal and does not have any "hidden" tricks that may violate your rights as a lessee. In this day and age, CMA does not mean "Country Music Association" but "Cover My Ass-ets".

    Steamer leaving residue?

I had a similar problem using a Wagner 905 on a 99 Dodge Caravan's interior on the front passenger door. The only solution was to use an APC and then treat with a plastic dressing. I wasn't sure if the steamer left the residue (I used distilled water) or if the plastic was starting to "bloom"...

New SS (2% increase) tax in effect

The 2% increase was the ending of the Obama 2% credit that was initiated in 2011 and scheduled to expire 1/1/13 anyway. As far as getting screwed by our government, you "ain't seen nothing yet", bro!

Used the Diamondite Headlight system today

I have the Diamondite Professional system and have experienced mixed results. The kit seems to work fine on headlights that are not deeply pitted or worn, but works great on lightly tarnished lenses. I used the Diamondite kit on headlights from a 1997 Grand Prix that were severely pitted and it...

    Detailing marketing guide

Has anybody used the Professional Detailer's Marketing Guide that is listed on the Professional Carwash and Detailing website? It's "only" $180, so I was wondering if anybody has used this guide before plunking down a Franklin and 4 Jacksons. Thanks.

    Steamer uses, and questions?!

I have the Wagner 905 which is similar, just a little cosmetic difference. Although it's not a VX 5000, I really like it. I use it for cleaning interiors and it does a fine job. One downside is be sure to keep the steam away from electronics and controls because the steam is quite moist --...

Brinkman Maxfire Dual Xenon Rechargeable Spotlight - Review and How-To

I received my Brinkman "swirl finder" light about a month ago. From the beginning, when I charged it for the prescribed 8-12 hours, the LED would not turn off, indicating a full charge and the battery does not hold a charge for more than 1-2 days, tops. Is this common? I remember this being...

    NEW Shop

Nice shop! If you're going to reroute drains for washing cars, may I suggest using a CG water containment mat? They have a nice one with inflatable berms for around $550. I think that'd be cheaper than paying a plumbing contractor plus you can take it with you if you want. All you would need...

New Client - My Favorite Area of Detailing - 30 Million Dollar Jet!

When detailing mega-expensive airplanes like this one, did you get special insurance or attach a rider to an existing policy? I'm sure not many detailers carry or can afford $30 million coverage.
