    303 graphene longevity issue

I just ordered some Wolfgang iso2 spray sealant to top the graphene. I just wanted to see if the durability of the graphene would live up to the claims.

    303 graphene longevity issue

Thought it was worth a try. I usually use WDGPS with good results.

    303 graphene longevity issue

I wondered if the fact it had some dust on it from where I park at work made a difference. After washing it the beading was restored to the hood and roof. It rained last night so I thought any dust would be rinsed away but apparently not. With Wolfgang sealant it used to look like it was just...

    303 graphene longevity issue

I used this on a black Toyota Tundra. Did a couple panels at a time to not let it dry too long but did wait for it to haze over. First time it rained the beading and water shedding was incredible and I had high hopes. Next time it rained there was no beading on the hood. I washed, clayed and...

BlackFire One Step or Pinnacle for dark colored car

I used Blackfire one step for the first time today on a new black truck. Had issues with it slinging around but that’s probably me. It does look good but doesn’t feel as slick as other products I’ve used. Didn’t get it all done but I plan to finish by hand. I’m just making too much of a mess...

    BLACKFIRE One Step

I will. Ordered the One Step and Pinnacle clay. Just have to wait for warm weather. Thanks Mike.

BF One Step it is then. I’ll order some extra polishing pads and clay bars also. Thanks much.

    BLACKFIRE One Step

Toyota Tundra. First black truck. I can already see it’s going to be fun trying to keep it looking clean.

    BLACKFIRE One Step

I was planning to just use a light pad. It mostly needs a cleaning and sealing, paint looks fine. I don’t feel like doing a two step process in one day. Thanks.

    BLACKFIRE One Step

Would this be a good choice for cleaning and sealing new black paint? I’m also considering Pinnacle jeweling wax but would prefer a polymer base on the paint. Then it would be topped with Pinnacle liquid wax. I’m concerned about using something too aggressive on a new vehicle.

    Detailing a new Toyota Tundra

Thanks. I’ll just have to wait for warmer weather to see what I really have. Then we’ll go from there.

    Detailing a new Toyota Tundra

I just bought a new black Tundra. It’s still too cold to do anything but I’m wondering what process I should use in the spring. With my old truck I’d claybar, polish and apply Wolfgang sealant. I’m guessing machine polishing might not be necessary but I’m not sure. What would you recommend for...

    Paint blend line issue

I thought maybe I could get away with putting clear on that small section and compound. Might be doing some blending on the hood and you taught me something for the future. Thanks a lot.

    Paint blend line issue

I think you found my problem. I didn’t extend the clear above the color and it was my first time blending vs doing a complete panel. I’m guessing no amount of compounding will fix this and I should leave it alone. Is there an easy fix or would I need to shoot more color and clear to get it...

    Paint blend line issue

I painted the front bumper and one door bottom on my truck. The door paint had to be blended in unlike the bumper. I sanded with 1500 grit and followed up with 2000. I’m using Griot’s fast correcting compound, an orange pad and DA polisher. After many passes I still have a narrow band of...

    Topping HD Speed with sealant

Thanks guys. I’m betting one polish step will be good.

    Topping HD Speed with sealant

I have a polishing question. I have Griots Boss fast correcting cream and perfecting cream. Think I can get by with using the fast correcting cream and go straight to sealant? This is on a 17 yr old daily driver work truck. It was repainted six years ago so it looks good but I’m not looking for...

    Topping HD Speed with sealant

The general rule is don’t put a long lasting sealant over wax. The wax is going to come off in short order and take whatever is on top of it with it. You might be better off making sure the wax is removed first but I’m no expert on this stuff.

    Topping HD Speed with sealant

I did go back and read the description of HD Speed and it does clearly say wax. Did some paintwork on a door bottom on my truck and am also prepping the front bumper for paint. I’ll need to compound anyway so might as well just do the whole thing and use sealant. Thanks.

    Topping HD Speed with sealant

I was planning to use Wolfgang paint sealant as a topper over HD Speed. Maybe a couple weeks apart. My concern is I don’t know what the protectant is in the Speed. It only says wax on the bottle and nothing about polymer. Since doing sealant over wax would be a waste of time I’d like to know...
