I ordered some Poorboys spray and rinse. We'll see how that works. I emailed the folks at Griot's Garage about this. Got the reply after ordering but they suggested to start with iron and fallout remover followed up with their wheel cleaner. I wonder if steam cleaning would work?

Can you suggest an acid based cleaner sold at autogeek? Is megs wheel cleaner different from other products like Wolfgang wheel cleaner? Someone else had suggested acid cleaner but I couldn't find anything described as such. Thanks.

Or try Klasse All in one. It doesn't bead water but sheets it off. Does a great job cleaning paint and lasts a decently long time. It's acrylic instead of polymer like most sealants. It won't do much for scratches and swirl marks though since it isn't an abrasive AIO.

Will an iron remover product work better on wheels that were probably never cleaned properly since 01 vs a regular wheel cleaner? Maybe I just need to repeat the process with the Wolfgang wheel cleaner several times? I'm going to compound, polish and seal my truck and need to get these wheels...

I've used sonax and optimum spray wax over klasse aio. Since the klasse doesn't bead water thought I'd try that. After one good rain there was little beading on the hood. Not sure that method would please a customer if they expect water beading to last awhile. Seems to be something better for...

I use the Optimum no rinse and like it. Convenient and saves money vs car wash. You aren't going to get much if any paint protection from a rinseless or waterless wash. Say I'm using Wolfgang polish prior to their sealant. If I start with swirl remover is it essential that I then use the finishing glaze prior to sealing? Will swirl remover leave it smooth enough for sealant or would I be skipping a vital step?

I do use the klasse AIO as a paint cleaner and always put a sealant over it. Now I know what I'm doing is a good method. Thanks much.

Good idea but I already did both vehicles with AIO so sealant is next. Maybe next spring I'll try one with AIO and one with a pure cleaner.

I've used klasse hg sealant, blackfire and Wolfgang sealant over klasse aio. I just wanted to be sure the acrylic and polymer were compatible and using them together wasn't a mistake. Sounds like it's not an issue. Thanks much.
