    Calling ALL PO85RD EXPERTS....

Since a rotary spins faster than the Flex I thought that speed 6 would be as close to a rotary as the Flex could get - I thought faster was better to break the polish down. What pad did you use? Good to know, I will try a slower speed tomorrow.

    Calling ALL PO85RD EXPERTS....

[/SIZE]I am trying to give the paint that extra pop for a final polishing step and I cannot see an improvement in the finish after polishing with PO85RD. I am using the Flex 3401. I do not have a rotary and do not plan on getting or using one. I want to work with what I have which is the Flex...

What is the BEST Finishing/Jeweling polish to use AFTER Meguiars 205 with a Flex or PC for that extra gloss?

I'm sure, you have a rotary and it was made to be used with a rotary. You did say that you used it with a DA though - have you used anything better for a final polish with the DA? Do you think PO85rd with a DA will give a slightly better finish than 205 on a grey LC pad with a DA?

What is the BEST Finishing/Jeweling polish to use AFTER Meguiars 205 with a Flex or PC for that extra gloss?

Its a term used for the last polishing step (but not required) after using a finishing polish where the surface is already swirl free and perfect. It just means that you are trying to get a little extra gloss on the surface by using a very fine polish - before you apply a glaze, sealant, and/or...

What is the BEST Finishing/Jeweling polish to use AFTER Meguiars 205 with a Flex or PC for that extra gloss?

Anyone else? Maybe I need to try PO85rd again and try to use more polish on the pad next time. Does anyone know how PO85rd compares to Ultrafina for a Jeweling step on soft paint with a FLex 3401? Feed back please

What is the BEST Finishing/Jeweling polish to use AFTER Meguiars 205 with a Flex or PC for that extra gloss?

I used Meguiars 105 and then finished with Meguiars 205 on a Black LC pad and want to top that with a jeweling polish top get that little extra gloss on black paint. The finish does look great after using 205 with a black pad, however I want to know if I can make it look even better. I am...

In regards to least aggressive polishes/pads first...

What pad would you say is slightly more aggressive than the LC Flat Orange foam pad to be used with the Flex 3401 on soft jet black paint? Want to try a pad with a little more cut on a few spots and do not want to use the LC Yellow or Surbuf pads as I heard that they can produce a lot of hazing...

In regards to least aggressive polishes/pads first...

You did give me good advice, never said you didn't. The only other advice in the post that I probably will not follow is using a yellow pad by machine on the paint. I am going to go as far as the orange pad with 105....although I may try a 4" yellow pad by hand with a polishing pal if I need...

When it comes to putting a buffing machine for someone who does not have that much experience with a Flex 3401 on an expensive car I do not think my questions are too technical. I am getting good advice here and I am learning from other memebers. Mike Phillips reccomended the Wolf Gang as a...

In regards to least aggressive polishes/pads first...

thanks man - Both the Meg's UC and 105 will be here early next week. Maybe I should have just gone with Meg's all along, but I guess I went with the WG and Menzerna becasue I want to get the best finish possible. I do want to try for a show car finish. I have the Menzerna Final Polish II...

In regards to least aggressive polishes/pads first...

thanks good advice. I guess the Flex just came out with a smaller backing plate to use with 5.5" pads - so I ordered the smaller backing plate. I just felt that it would be easier to work with smaller pads and that I would have more room to move in some of the smaller and tighter places like...

Went with Wolf Gang due to autogeeks reccomendation and also thought Menzerna was primarily for hard clear coats. Maybe the marketing got me...however, since its made by menzerna then it should be a somewhat similar product. Swirls are from hand washing (before I knew how to properly wash a...

In regards to least aggressive polishes/pads first...

I may have been moving too fast...I will try a slower arm speed next time. I guess its okay to go over the same spot again with the same polish and pad? One other thing I thought of is that there was not enough polish on the pad as I only did that one test spot and the pad might not have...

    Best Carnauba Under $50?

I 2nd that. Pinnacle LS is about $40 and even though its liquid I am not sure there is something else that will look better for that price....at least on a black car.

What would you recommend that I try next? I used the Wolf Gang total swirl remover (which is equivalent to Menzerna SIP/IP in power) with a LC green coarse pad (in between the orange and white pad) on the Flex 3401 on speed 6 with firm pressure and I still have a few swirls and scratches??? thanks

In regards to least aggressive polishes/pads first...

thanks man - according to reviews on autogeek - Wolf Gang is made by Menzerna and it is supposed to be more user friendly than Menzerna so thats why I went with it. The total swirl remover is similar to Menzerna SIP/IP and the Wolf Ganf Finishing Glaze is similar to 106f. I used the LC green...

I just looked at a chart from Meguiars saying that 105 has more cut than UC. What has been your experience with this? You mentioned not to use UC on soft paint...did it not workout for you and you like 105 better on soft paint? Please let me know - thanks
