I called the body shop guy who painted and cleared my hood, he told me they used water based paint, and not to do nothing to it for 30 days, the thing is i already applyed jescar top finish machine glaze, it says silicone free and safe for all paint areas. So i am hoping it will be safe enough...

Lol, i just got it , It says to apply 2×2 up and down side by side then wipe off, i am wondering if you can do the whole car like the other glaze I've used, then wipe off, but i guess this is different?

I got done polishing my car and i have the Jescar top finish machine glaze, so how do i apply it do i do the whole car then buff it off or do i do a section at a time? I am hoping i can do this tomorrow.

I just got my Toyota back home new paint and 2 coats clear, soooo.. how long until I can polish and wax ? they did the wet sand and buff, it looks really good, I'm planning to wash, n clay n polish in a few days. Would that be safe on new painted hood?

i am wondering is how much can i polish this down, i dont think the dull spots are thru clear coat, so will menzerna 400 and grey heavy pad work ot should i go lighter

BTW, Heres a pic of this terrible job, i was thinking if i can get rid of those lines, it would look better. I have a pe8 kompakt rotary, and will be getting the xc3401vrg DA, can u please tell me what pads and polish i should use? i have the menzerna 400, 2500 3500, i have all colors of country...

Hello. I know this has probably been ask, but here it goes, somewhere i seen or heard dont remember which, but it said that i can take out clear coat lines with menerza 400 and a microfiber towel. Is true, if not what is the best way i can take out those dreaded lines? Thanks for reading.

Sorry wrong pic, heres the recent, my delima is how to get rid of those tape lines? And should i get lower grit polish and rougher pad?

I noticed some paint on the white pad, so i went ahead on a small spot next to where i got paint on my pad, with the orange 1 inch, and menzernas 2500, after a couple of passes, it didnt do nothing, so i went ahead and repainted and cleared, 2 coats apiece,

No color transfer, would it still be ok to polish with the kompakt?

BTW, how will I know if those full spots around the repair have gone thru the clear?

I will be getting the flex pe8 kompakt polisher with the 1, 2 and the 3inch green and orange pads, will this remove the defects in this photo, it's about one half to 3/4 inches wide and length, it has 3 coats of clear

Its not very big, but I spray clear on it cause it was pretty deep to begin with, I dont see orange peel yet, but dont know how it will look like later.

I just sprayed 3 coats of spray max 2k clear glamour on the scratch repair, it looks really clear, do I really have to wet sand this or can I just go straight to polishing. It looks really clear.

After I spray the 2k clear coat, I will have to go to work 12hrs later, will this be enough cure time to bring it out in the weather, it might rain,like 80% chance.

Has anyone tried wet sanding Spray Max 2K clear glamour ? I am going to use this on my scratch repair, so do I need to wet sand this? Or is it sandable?

I seen the post Mike Phillip's did, the screws go in in a kind of a slant, i sure did not know that, but Andre from autogeek took a look at the pics i sent him, Autogeek sent me a return label to copy, so that they can take a look at it. To bad that post by Mike Phillip's wasn't posted earlier.

FINALLY! I did not need the drill. I got me a pair of work gloves and a small rubber head hammer, grabbed a hold of the backing plate and tapped the allen tool, then gave it a good twist and viola! It came loose, then I took the other out and screwed them back in, but they still won't go far...
