what's one product that has impressed you (lately)?

The Gloss Shop Trifecta. Did a review for it today on Autopia. Really really impressed me. I'm looking forward to the end of the year when we can recommend new products for AG to carry because this one will be way up there for me.

You just can't beat the Flex 3401...

I try to always mention a mini 3401 in the 3401 specific threads. You know, just in case Flex is watch. ;)

You just can't beat the Flex 3401...

Love the 3401. The long throws are nice and all, but they aren't a 3401. Now if only Flex could make a smaller 3401 that accepted 2-3" pads, I'd be in heaven.

Rupes mark ii 15 stalling badly

Or... buy a 3401 and have a machine that's built better, corrects faster, and won't ever bog down no matter what the circumstance.

    what are you currently watching?

Started Stranger Things, which is amazing, but then I got a itch for the Dollars Trilogy again. Just finished A Fistful of Dollars (1964). Moving onto For a Few Dollars More (1965) and then The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). Will go back to Stranger Things after that.

what's one product that has impressed you (lately)?

There is a product that's not offered by AG that really wowed me these last couple of weeks, but before that, it was Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash at the end of last year.

Tornado Red MK7 VW GTI detailing done, not satisfied with the outcome?

Assuming you've had the car for 12 months and also assuming that the car had been washed and dried through an automated touchless wash several times (I don't know if those are true, but I'm trying to think worst case scenario where you'd have the most swirls and blemishes on a car that's a year...

Lake Country Force Pads at AG?

AG is still selling the older LC Hybrid Pads for forced-rotation polishers, but they have been effectively replaced by LC Force Pads featuring Hybrid Foam which have been out for around 6 months now. LC doesn't even list Hybrid pads on their site anymore. Do we know if/when AG will be selling...

What's the best All In One?

There's no best. They're all good, for the most part. Some lean more towards the cleaning/polishing abilities while other lean more towards protection. Klasse AIO, HD Speed, Menzerna One Step, Wolfgang Uber AIO, and McKee's 37 360 are ones that I've used that I like quite a bit. If you plan on...

McKee's 37 Turbo Car Dryer - Anyone Using This Blower, If So Do You Like It??? Looking For Suggestions

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the older version $149.99? If so, it's a $30 increase on the new version at $179.99 (not taking into account the temporary introductory offer of $159.99). Seems kinda steep for the improvements, no?

Is the current version for sale the updated version that Nick was mentioning would come out or is it just a rebrand of the older DP version?

    Too many options and opinions

Whatever you do, always follow the golden rule. Use the least aggressive products and techniques that will get the job done. That's really where the science of this hobby gets left behind and the art (and fun) comes into play. You may not need something like a compound on paint that's only 6...

Ok then. So other side of the coin. What washes WITH gloss enhancement properties would be recommended for a maintenance wash?

    Clay alternative pads

They all work well. My favorite combo is to use the 6" Nanoskin pad on a 3401 and then get tight places with the Nanoskin towel. The whole process takes a fraction of the time it takes with traditional clay.

    Drying tool advice

Everyone is right. The less you touch your car, the better chance you have to not introduce swirls. That being said, IF you are applying a spray wax afterwards to boost your existing LSP, just do it during the drying phase and you'll have touched your vehicle one less time.

Is one brand of car really better than the other???

Depends on what you mean by better, but I can tell you this. Having been in the automotive journalism industry for the last 16 years, I've been able to test and document over 8000 unique vehicles (yeah, I've been pretty lucky) and, without getting into too much detail, there are definitely...
