    Alternative "clay" products

You, my friend, need a nanoskin 6" pad on a DA. Nanoskin Autoscrub Fine Foam Pad Anything that you can't reach with this, get with the Nanoskin towel. Nanoskin Autoscrub Towel, clay towel Keep around your clay as a back up, but since I've moved to these a couple years back, I haven't had to...

"Black is not a color, it's a full time job"

You know what they say about black cars... The two best days with them is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. ;)

    Meguires D114 question

As much as I like D114, I absolutely love Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash. Yes, it is less economical, but it is also a superior product in ever single way. Here was my quick summary and thoughts of the product back when it was released. Still, if you decide to go with D114, it will not disappoint.

    Maintenance wash shampoo?

A very nice set of recommendations. I really enjoy a lot of 3D products, so I'd probably try some of the Pink Car Soap. I also have a bunch of Meguiars Hyper-Wash already that I use on full details when the LSP is pretty much gone already, but never thought about using it maintenance washes, so...

    Maintenance wash shampoo?

What shampoos do you like and are safe to use during a maintenance wash (not rinseless or waterless) that won't remove your LSP? Would you want them to have protection qualities to them or no? Keep in mind I also use D156 as a drying aid on all of my maintenance washes and to help boost my LSP...

    Cobra clay mitt

Huh. I never thought about doing it that way. It's always been wash, dry, clay lube, clay alternative, dry. Seems like this could save a whole lot of time.

Does anyone here (besides me) not use grit guards?

I've never really seen the point of them if you're using a two-bucket method. That being said, I did just purchase one this last weekend, so we'll see.

    Wrist & Back Pain

I went through an original PC before it died and then a couple of years through a PCXP without any pain at all. Then all of a sudden, I started experiencing wrist pain and hand numbness. When I upgraded to a 3401, all of that went away. Guess it was just my body getting older and telling me to...

Which wheel cleaner do you use?

Just did a comparison of Mirror Bright and DUB: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/101500-meguiars-mirror-bright-vs-dub-wheel-cleaner.html They were ok.

Wolfgang Uber Rinseless as drying aid

Never thought about using it that way. I LOVE Wolfgang Uber Rinseless. Already use it as a rinseless wash, waterless wash, water conditioner, clay lube, and quick detailer. Now somethings new to use it for?! Seriously, this product is just the best. What dilution ratio did you use for the...

Iron x a must or not?

All the types of products you listed perform different tasks. Clay (or a clay alternative) is to remove bonded contaminants where as a product like IronX is to remove chemical contaminants. IronX does not replace clay or visa-versa. A cleaner wax (also called an all-in-one or AIO) is for light...

REVIEW: Griots BOSS Finishing Sealant - All In One/One Step Polish

Very nice. I know there's a lot of GG fandom on this site, so it's always nice to hear opinions with rationale behind them. I'm excited to try this stuff out now!

Meguiar's Mirror Bright vs DUB wheel cleaner

Awful. They were both awful. They weren't as pad as IronX or Adam's, but they were still awful. If I had to pick which one smelled better, I would probably go with DUB just because they attempted to hide it with a pina colada scent, but they were both just awful.

Meguiar's Mirror Bright vs DUB wheel cleaner

I was really more surprised with how quick the MB went. Only two minutes before it was ENTIRELY dry. After five minutes, DUB was still wet. What I didn't show in the review was that I did the test again on the rear wheels and it was the same results. I tried my best to make sure I sprayed the...

Honda Fit right off the dealer but full of swirls and watermarks

Great job. I bought a Honda Fit last year that had been sitting on the lot for 6 months. Incredible deal on it. The paint was swirled out like the one above as well. It was nothing a detailing love couldn't fit, though.
