The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

This is my ride as it sits, albeit at a collision center not in the middle of the street (2016 Civic EX-T with 62k): This was an unfortunate incident in which I accidentally rear ended a Chevy Tahoe.:doh: My insurance company declared the car to be a total loss. However, on the up...

Not all that glitters is gold - Honda Ridgeline

Thank you Yes, this was a solid 2 days worth of work for me. I think it was worth it in the end though.

Not all that glitters is gold - Honda Ridgeline

Sometimes it’s silver! This is my stepdad’s 2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL in Lunar Silver. Just over 30k on the odometer. This is not his daily driver, but it does get used for hauling mulch or as a work truck when he does handyman jobs on the side. It has been taken care of by me since it was new...

Hoping to see some old faces.

Nowhere near as active as I used to be. I mostly loiter now. I miss the good old days before Autogeek changed hands. Just my opinion. I will say it’s been interesting to see how much Autogeek (and detailing in general) has changed over the years. The new technologies that have come to market...

    Iron/Fallout Remover

Blackfire Iron Remover. Extremely mild smelling compared to similar products, and cheaper as well ($21.99 for 32 ounces vs. $29.99 for CarPro IronX). BLACKFIRE Iron Remover

    Glassworks glass cleaner is fake!

Autogeek used to carry it Chemical Guys Glass Workz Glass Cleaner with Pomegranate Scent I would also venture that it has been discontinued. I recall buying it a number of years ago and kept getting nothing but streaking and residual product left on the windows, regardless of technique or...

Every 90s kid is required to look at this detail!

Cool deal. My first car was a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL. I loved that car. https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/24229-95-olds-cutlass-ciera-detailed-meguiars-menzerna-wolfgang.html?highlight=

What LSP do the pros use?

The key to durability for any wax or sealant is regular maintenance. At the minimum, you should be doing a wash with a booster product at least once a month. That being said, maybe take a look at the Collinite line. I got some surprising results out of Collinite 845 when I applied it at the end...

What LSP do the pros use?

    Meguiar’s M27 is very runny

Just a quick update. I contacted Meguiar’s via email about this issue. They responded within a day and asked for a picture of the back of the bottle, and are sending out a replacement bottle of M27 free of charge. All’s well that ends well! :dblthumb2:

    Wash mitt you like...

I prefer microfiber chenille mitts. I get mine from Pep Boys. They hold up really well and they’re not terribly expensive - like $7 or something like that. I have a few lambs wool wash mitts, including a Dodo Juice mitt, but I seldom use them.

    My issue with Interior Detailers.....

I myself am not a fan of interior dressings. I don’t care for anything shinier than a natural factory look, and I hate the application process. That said, I typically use “interior detailer” type products. My go-to at present is Griot’s Garage Interior Detailer. Smells great, leaves a nice fresh...
