Interior scent, carpet cleaner, and trim dressing?

As far as LSP's go, I'm a much bigger fan of pastes. Like I said, I love the Souveran and at this point I'm just doing family and friends cars until I get better at things. When I do that I'll probably re-do my list and include some cheaper products to make it worth the work instead of burning...

Interior scent, carpet cleaner, and trim dressing?

For now it will just be my vehicles. See, I was going to use something cheaper than the Souveran, but I really like how it lays down and for now until I get better, I'll just be doing friends and my vehicles. I just wanted a good cabinet of products to start with and go from there. Just curious...

Interior scent, carpet cleaner, and trim dressing?

Well, I got most of my detailing list together as follows: Car wash for first time details (wax and bug stripper) - Dawn dish soap (original, unscented) Car wash for regular details - Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner car wash Clay bar - Meguiar's Mirror Glaze detailing clay (mild...

Sounds like a good idea. :) As far as carpet cleaners, are you guys just using spot removers? Generally I like to rent a Rug Doctor and just shampoo the whole interior to get it clean since they are pretty cheap to rent. Besides that all I do is simply vacuum the car out regularly to keep...

Yea, I will just use the Souveran for myself. At this time I don't have enough experience to start worrying about customer cars simply because I'm not good enough to do a "proper" detail yet. Once I get to that point though I will definitely pick up a more durable wax. I already have the...

So far I've had good luck with IPA wipedowns. I may try mineral spirits in the future though. :) As far as pre-wax cleaner goes, I plan on simply clay-barring the car and then doing an IPA wipedown any time I want to wax it, so I don't feel the need for a cleaner. I might try the APC+ later on...

Yea, I'm sure I'll really like the stuff, especially since it takes care of 3 major things for you. Later today I'm going to get a permanent marker and a few more of those mixing spray bottles that I got at Wal-Mart for cheap and make up the bottles for the different stuff. Also, while I'm...

Just ordered a 16 oz. bottle and 2 oz. sample of the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0. Figured that the 18 oz. will probably go bad before I can even use it all. Was debating the next size which was a 64 oz. bottle, but that's way way more than I'll ever need. Also, I ordered a gallon jug...

Yea, I think I should invest in some detailing brushes for sure, especially for wheels, engine bays, and grilles. Are those finger pocket things even worth it? Also, why a MF sponge over a wheel Schmitt or something else? I was thinking of just using the wheel brush for the whole wheel but I'm...

Yea, I think it might be worth a shot on the aloe stuff. It's like 15 dollars for both bottles and I think it works pretty good. Yea, you CAN mess things up if you use that adhesive remover wrong but for the most part I've had excellent success with it. It works on about any surface really...

You quoted my earlier list if you noticed. It's been revised since then. lol It sounds like we're on the same page with a lot of stuff though. I've never been a big fan of liquid waxes or spray waxes simply because they don't seem to last or really be worth it. I should probably pick up some of...

Yea, I'm willing to try out the Lexol eventually as well. I've heard good things about it. IMO detail is really trial and error, but there's just some products that you NEED to have. lol The Meguiar's has worked excellent thus far, so I'll just use it until I have it all used up. I think I have...

I wasn't much of a fan of the regular leather products. Have you tried the aloe gold class stuff? I've never ever seen it in stores and had to order it but let me tell you, it's amazing stuff. I've used the 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover quite a bit on stuff. Extremely useful for removing...

Alright, well, moving on then I guess. At this point I'd like to talk about mitts and brushes. At this point I just have a chenille MF mitt and no brushes. I'm thinking about getting a Schmitt wheel mitt and a Mother's sheepskin mitt. Black Wheel ShMITT Mothers Genuine Lambswool Wash Mitt As...

That's what I figured. Like I said, they look exactly the same and have the same spray heads on them too. I figured it was just a much cheaper and better route to go with things. I'll just stick to using them instead of spending the money on the ones from here. Are you guys labeling them with...

As far as bottles to hold your mixes, what are you guys using? I see that you can get mixing spray bottles on here, but they seem overpriced. I picked some up at Wal-Mart that are 24 oz. for 50 cents a piece. They had the dilution ratios and mixes on the side plus a nice indented spot to put a...

Got it. I guess at this point I'm going to get all my chemicals together and get the rest of my stuff ordered and then take inventory on all the towels, pads, etc. that I have before I move on.
