    SEMA 2024

I believe the general logic with a fabric softener solution is that it releases the static charge between the hair and carpet, thus making it easier to vacuum. I use a homemade FS solution when dealing with really bad hair. It helps but I wouldn't say its game changing. FWIW, I use the solution...

DI Water System - Talk me off the ledge!

This is kind of what I was hoping to hear. I looked into replacing the resin and it gave me enough pause to miss out. However, my driveway faces west so I am often battling water spots. The idea of just letting my cars drip dry is quite attractive!

DI Water System - Talk me off the ledge!

I passed up a ridiculously low priced CR Spotless system on Marketplace this week. I saw it for sale and knew others use them but I have never looked into DI so I missed it. Of course, now I am obsessed with getting a DI system. Other than CR Spotless which is out of my budget, does anyone have...

What’s the deal with Optimum the company?

Great synopsis. The detail industry (especially the enthusiast side) has changed a lot over the years.

    Opinions On Prerinse With ONR

I exclusively wash with rinseless. Here are my thoughts... I am in WI and in the summer I prerinse with rinseless, pressure wash then contact wash with a sponge and rinseless. (one bucket) In the winter, generally I dont "wash" my vehicles unless it is about 40 degrees or so. When it is under...

How about we start a for sale thread?

I know. I know. It is against the rules. However, I figured since the forum is no longer monitored, we should start a for sale thread. All transactions are at your own risk. List what you have with pics, prices and how you want to handle shipping and payment. Probably best to DM to finalize the...

    Cyclo 10 years of Shine

Hey! Just wanted to circle back on this. I wound up finding a used one on FB MP for $80 plus a little shipping. Other used ones were going for around $200 so I jumped on it. It was pretty rough upon arrival and OOOOLD! It appears to be an "orig" without the speed dial, etc.. Anyway, I cleaned it...

HELP! What paint protection should I choose?

I am not a noob by any means. But still, I find myself semi-paralyzed by indecision. I just took delivery of a 2022 BMW X4 M40i in sapphire black metallic. This is my first black vehicle in about 20 years and also the first since I've started taking the condition of my paint, or should I say, my...

Meg's Hot Rims Tire & Wheel vs. Whestley's Bleche White

I guess D143 might be the answer. Anyone have experience with both? What dilution ratio do you use assuming regularly maintained wheels and tires?

Meg's Hot Rims Tire & Wheel vs. Whestley's Bleche White

Couple weeks ago I went down a rabbit hole of what ever happened to Whestly's. Turns out it is now owned by Black Magic and their formula doesnt work as well as the original. Many vids on YT recommended Meg's Hot Rims Tire and Wheel as a replacement that closely mimics the old Whestley's...

    Advice - Barrett Jackson 2022 - Scottsdale

Looking for any advice for attending the Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale this Jan 2022. I've never been to the auction nor Scottsdale so any tips are welcome. It looks like I will be flying down purely as a solo spectator. Not looking for swanky accommodations, but I don't want to stay in...

Post Your Pics: Vintage Autogeek Products

I was cleaning out my collection and came across this gem. Has to be at least 15 years old, maybe more. Got me to wondering what other vintage AG ONLY products members have. Post your pics!

Evolution of a process - Wheel soap

I have been detailing for the better part of thirty years. I've made a ton of mistakes and learned a lot. To this day, my process continues to evolve. My current process includes following Ivan's recommendation for washing with ONR and drying with the aid of Opti Seal. I modified his process a...

Garage floor paint / coating question

Does anyone have recommendations for garage floor PAINT?! I know paint is the worst option for looks, durability and longevity, especially in NE Wisconsin! However, a professional epoxy job just isn't in the budget. We purchased a 20 year old house two years ago. The previous owners painted the...

    How to remove Aquapel

Interesting. They were indeed from Amazon and they were much cheaper than regular retail. Perhaps I have some recourse! Another great tip! Thanks!

    How to remove Aquapel

Hopefully this post will help others in the future. I recently applied Aquapel and I don't know what I did wrong but it streaked like crazy. No amount of rubbing, buffing, class cleaning or Gyeon Prep would take it off. After Googling and seeing a lot of people asking the same question without...

Looking for feedback on my logo.

I was going to reply with my two cents on the logos but it looks like most agree they aren't that good. On the other hand....SUDS, your logo is pretty great. I would highly recommend farming out logo design to the OP. If money is a factor, sites like brand mark dot com are really helpful! Good luck.
