    Viable Leatherique alternative?

Is the general consensous still that Leatherique (LQ) is the best leather cleaning product? I ask becasue the white leather in my MB is pretty drab looking from daily use. I want to bring the white back to life but I REALLY dont want to go through the LQ process. Are there any other products...

For you cold weather guys Last

HA! 50 degrees. I guess its all relative, eh? I'm in WI too so I'm in shorts in 50 degree weather. I use hot water and work fast when it's real cold. In deep winter, I will actually wait until the temps are under 30 so the roads aren't so sloppy and the car stays clean for more than 5 seconds.

    Flex 3401 speed fluctuation

Good call! Using a hand me down cheap extension chord. I will look into that. FWIW I did try searching....must have used the wrong query. ;-)

    Flex 3401 speed fluctuation

Has anyone experienced their Flex 3401 fluctuating DOWN in speed when locked in? For example, when locked at 4.5-5, the machine will fluctuate down to what feels like 3-3.5. To the point where I have to lock at 5-5.5 or so to keep the speed up. The brushes here replaced less than 5 or so machine...

    Cleaning weather tech floor mats

I just use whatever APC happens to be handy at the time and same for the brush. Most of the time I just leave them natural I've used 303 which made them slippery. I've also used Megs Hyper Dressing which worked fine but the best for me was Megs Quick Wax and it was not slippery that I recall.

    Cleaning dog hairs!

We have a St. Bernard and I bought a pumice stone when we first got her (Shelby). Wasn't impressed. Used it two or three times and it sits in a cabinet somewhere. I have not found anything that helps other than time and patients. Someone did suggest the rubber brush. I might consider trying...

Prep prior to Sonax Fallout and clay mit

What is the consensus for prepping the surface prior to chemically removing fallout with Sonax followed by washing with a clay mitt? I'm in WI and last fall I protected with a layer of 845. This spring, I've been drying with the aid of Megs Quick Wax. I am wondering if I need to do any stripping...

    How do you choose.

Take it from a hobby-driveway detailer who’s spent WAY too much money on WAY too many products over the years. Are you a hobbyist cleaning your family’s daily drivers? Or, do you have a Gargage-mahal where you painstakingly obsess over your Ferrari, Lambo or vintage NSX? Figure out your...

    Car shampoo

What type of car (Seriously)? And what is your definition of performance? I ask because Gyeon is more of boutique product ($$) and if you're driving a 97 Buick Regal, I wouldn't go that route when a $20/gal shampoo will do the trick.

Welcome! Where are you at in Northern WI? I am near Appleton and I'm chomping at the bit for Spring to finally come!

What to do after touchless car wash

Lately, I wait until the temp is above 20 degrees. The warmer, the better. But not too warm that you are running through melting snow on the way home or wating in mile long lines at the car wash. I use the self serve bay and just the pressure spray, no soap! The pressure is enough to blow off...

    Removing my info

Glad it's not just me. I had a thread of mine closed a couple months back for what I thought was a valid question about product similarities. Apparently, I was in violation of forum rules. That was not my intention but fair enough. However, the tone the moderator took with me in his post closing...

    SAMPLES (original post updated)

I am looking to streamline my driveway detail cart and I'd like to trade off some samples in exchange for samples of a few chemicals I've had my eye on. Below is what I have: CG Diablo-gel Wheel Cleaner - about 12oz taken from a gallon jug Megs Paint Reconditioning Cream - 16oz taken from...

Can I use Megs Wheel Brightener on this wheel?

Yes and no, actually. Just this past weekend, the cloudiness of the wheels was really bothering me. It's my wife's car so I don't clean it as much as I should. I decided to give it a good wash as last weekend was our first nice weather here in WI. Anyway, I did a test spot on the outside of the...

    Help finding wheel repair

I am in Appleton, WI and I am having a heck of a time finding a place to get my 19" BMW wheel repaired. I hit a pot hole last summer so I have a couple small gouges on the lip of the rim. They have a machined face with two tone gray paint on the inside. (I believe the wheels are style 269)...

    Google search results

If your only online marketing is your FB page, I would highly recommend using FB ads. Like said above, your FB page is not likely to rank well on Google's SERP (search engine results page). SEO is a HUGE can of worms and impossible to cover in a post. Do you have any specific questions?

Can I use Megs Wheel Brightener on this wheel?

I am a HUGE fan of Wheel Brightener on painted wheels. Its a miracle worker, really. However, I am unsure about the wheel pictured below. We recently purchased a 2014 Ford Flex with the "shiny" 20" wheels. Overall, they are in okay shape, just a little cloudy. I'm not really motivated to sit...

Flex 3401 Stopped Working - Brushes?

Does anyone know anything about replacing the brushes on the Flex 3401? My Flex is completely dead and I am hoping its a simple fix like the brushes. Do you know if I can get brushes locally rather than ordering online? Thanks in advance!
