    05 Ram 1500 M205 and Megs UW

What a horrible experience. It was bad from the very start. It happened to my girls car too, but the chick backed into her and instead of stopping she bailed. Hit and run, we were stuck with a bent hood. I hate her 02 pontiac anyway, next year im entering it into a skid plate race and buying...

    Menzerna SF4000 or Megs M205

Went from 600 to break down the crust that was all along the top. Up t0 1500, then to 2000 grit. After that it was a Makita Rotary, 3m foam polishing pad, and some megs 205. That was it, after the final photo was taken, I waxed it with Megs ULW.

Thanks, I was surprised that 205 got the sanding marks out so well. It was awesome.

    Menzerna SF4000 or Megs M205

Speaking of M205, I even use that stuff on my headlights after wet sanding em. I buffed the headlights out with M205 instead of plastx. I liked the results. Now I just keep em waxed. It was the only part of my car I ever used a buffer on. I have even heard of people using 205 with megs...

    05 Ram 1500 M205 and Megs UW

I loved NXT as well, but after trying UPW, I was so freakin happy with it. Part of me really wants to try out the Black Wax from Chemical Guys though. Edit: you did a fantastic job on the ram.

Advice for metallic black paint - Dealership Installed Swirls

Re: Advice for metallic black paint I would use "ultimate polish" or "M205" after the "Ultimate Compound" on a Polish Pad. The UP would sub out #7 unless you wanted to hit it with that anyway just for fun. Maybe these guys can shed some light, but isnt "swirl remover" slightly less aggressive...

    Gotta love ULW and M135

I just got a GG6 recently, need to practice with it. It is my first machine, so step by step I guess lol.

    Gotta love ULW and M135

I like ULW, but could never lay it down right on my black car. I tried the paste version after, and love that stuff. Plus it smells nice.

    Griots Buffer Bag

They come in handy, the big bag has side pockets big enough for the large bottle of Megs quick detailer, and anything smaller is even easier.

    Griots Buffer Bag

Craftsman has an 18 inch tool bag with 13 inch bag combo for $12 when on sale. I love that thing, have had it for about 2 years now, no tears or issues to report.

Rupes Mini 12 vs Griot's Garage Mini Polisher

Pardon my noob question, but do you have to upgrade the counterweight or anything when putting a 3 inch backing plate on the GG6? I am new to the polisher realm, but loving it so far.

    Hello from So. Cal.

Thanks guys, I am curious, would it be safe to hit the ridges on my hood with a DA Polisher? Or would even that be too aggressive for those lines?

    Hello from So. Cal.

Hello everyone, my name is Chris, and I am pretty new to detailing. I have only worked by hand on my car since I got it and it has never been machine polished before. Yesterday, I finally just went and got a Griots Garage 6 inch polisher, so I have been roaming around the boards for tips and so...
