The goal is to sell products...not always honesty, I guess I watched too many Pan reviews since now more are showing up in my feed. It seems just like any promotion where a person makes the rounds on talk shows, etc. to promote something. The host and interviewed both get something out of it...

Wow,,,amazing how far soaps have progressed over the years....NOT.

Yes, in my old day job we did accelerated testing on our products (IT type) and we often referenced industry tests,. But, the detailers never reference them in the review like 5 years per ASTM.....No seller has been elaborating on how they justify the claims.

It is the affiliate programs that I believe contaminates the whole aspects of reviews where reviewer gets rewarded for putting out a good review that drives people to click links in their videos. I believe it takes away from more frank reviews. One reviewer sorta did this when he said that if...

    DFB's Soapy Notes

The thing about soaps is that there is a rated dilution (sometimes very vague like "1 cap per bucket') but you can always add more. For example, for Chem Guys for sometime they had ridiculous dilution ratios and I always used twice whatever they said. More soap can bump lubricity and cleaning...

It is almost like there is a youtube detailer community that feeds itself off reviewing new products. It seems almost incestuous. They are buddies and support each other. I saw another review of CBP (Clean by Plan) products and the reviewer got directly involved when he said he wanted support...

The video was great and honest. If I recall the art of selling is 3 steps: engage (get their attention), educate (explain in a way they can be so inclined to buy such as fear, need, etc.), sell (tell them why they need this product.

If someone sent me a sample of his stuff, I would try it but not interested in purchasing anything outright I saw one video by someone who tested 4 rinseless including Pan's. In the end, he preferred Nemesis. Now, I see the debate on clining foam versus dripping foam and how they elaborate...

    Bug Removal

When my question was if the actual chemistry in bug removal products really make a difference in softening the bug compared to other products. The feature I was looking for was something foamy that would stick more on vertical surfaces. PB's Bug Squash does not stick well. I try to keep...

Was the video with the one with white paint? If so, I agree. The fact is if one just posts a video no one can identify the product. They all look nice! The Armour guy cleans a panel and admires how nice it works. It sure does compared to the dirty panel next it.

    Bug Removal

I was looking at various bug removers with an interest in the product chemisty. Griots and MK37 mention strong surfectants Adam's mentions lots of "butyl" 3D references a strong APC PB mentions engineered to breakdown unique proteins DIY Detail includes as part of All Clean (citrus APC) Pan...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

My zero turn rider got trashed after trying to mow wetter than normal grass when we had all the rain from recent. I will have to get the pressure washer out to clean them up.

Does anyone use an APC as a glass cleaner (know it is not safe for tinted windows)?

    All Purpose Cleaner

When I was cleaning out my detailing cabinet, I noticed 3 APCs - Optimum Power Clean, MK37, and ancietn Duragloss. I never use on interiors but I never deal with trashed interiors.
