I have both and can't decide on either. Can't go wrong with either IMO. Both are easy to apply and remove, both are glossy, durability I am not sure yet since my first application of DGPS is only a week old, and my BFWD application has not left the garage since I put it on a month ago.
You probably will not get any more of a aggressive combo then Surbuf with M105. Probably Purple foam wool pad and M105. i'm not counting M101 as it can not be had here in the US.
Does the Surbuf and M105 work? Yes! But depending on the paint you will have to finish it down with a less...
Megs D300 or Megs Ultimate Compound would be the intermediate between M105 and M205.
But get some Menzerna SF4500. For a final polish before your LSP, it's hard to beat.
Personally, I like to use the machine to apply products if I can be done. Of course there are some items where we can't but for compounds, polishes, sealants and most waxes, it spreads the product out more evenly and you actually use less product this way.
Every car is going to be a little different so it would help to have a little arsenal of compounds, polishes and pads to work with. My go to combination right now is M105 for the initial cut and finish it with SF4500 (PO85RD). I have yet to find anything that will finish down better then SF4500.
Great products no doubt. But they need to work on their marketing. It would be nice if there was a standard for the industry. I know AGO does a pretty decent job of categorizing everything, but there are a lot of cross posting on some items that I have seen on the website.
PO85RD is Mezerna PO85RD or is now named SF4500 (the new Mezerna naming convention makes it much easier to identify how agressive the compound/polish is).

A light spray of water or QD spray will extend the working time of M105. For some of the deeper RIDS, I usually go over the section with several passes. That is with a Surbuf pad so I imagine a medium cutting pad like the orange won't be as effective but still can get most of the swirls out...
I leave my sprayer in the bottle. I leave my bottle sitting outside in the sun or in a car when I know I am going to use the wax. That is enough heat to melt the wax inside the tube.
I only use a DA to apply waxes and sealants now. Like LuxuryMobile said, it spreads it nice and thin and evenly. It's also way faster then doing it by hand.
There are a lot of good waxes and sealants on the market, everyone will have their preference. I recently picked up a bottle of...
