Here it is! BOSS - Best of Show System

I haven't used one, but I can't imagine that it is restricted to griot pads. You can use any type of pad on a Rupes, some just perform better than others.

    Meguiars DA Power System

Another strong vote of NO on the power system for waxing and paint cleanup. GG6 all the way. More versatile (can use multiple pad sizes) and value over the long run can't be beat.

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

Here's another opinion for whatever it's worth. I obviously haven't used the machine but I love my GG6 (and have a Rupes 15). One of the best aspects of the GG6 is its power relative to the PC and other less popular DA's like the HF, and its overall value at $130 with lifetime warranty. If the...

    Rupes and pads?

I have the full complement of Rupes foam and MF pads, and have used all. I also bought the LC orbital foam pads later and in my experience there has been a difference. The LC pads spin better and feel smoother to me. Rupes is designed as a system, but LC orbital foam pads are better. I'm a fan.

    Collinite 845 vs Wheel sealant + spoke-brush

If durability is a key factor you can use a coating on your wheels. I have factory painted alloys as well and mine dust like crazy. I coated them about 8 months ago and the cleaning is so much easier, especially the wheel barrels with the speedmaster. It has reduced the need to use harsh wheel...

Rinseless Washing Question - How Wet Are Your Towels?

Squeeze but not wring for initial wipe after pre-spraying panel until it's slightly dripping. My towels are wet, but just barely short of dripping. I like to use the green 600's from MFT for the first wipe, and then a fully wrung out MM 800 for follow up before drying.

what's your next purchase going to be (detailing or non-detailing related)?

Sweet. I lusted after a Tony Alva deck in grade school with Kryptonic wheels. (late 70's). Had the McGill in your pic as preferred method of transpo in college along with beach cruiser.

Came out from work today to THIS

+1 And to the original post subject. I feel you. The maintenance company at my condo complex love their leaf blowers. If I park outside of my garage they routinely blast the dust off the ground onto wherever, including the parked cars. No clue or care.

    Tire Coating and New Tires

Picked up some new tires for the car today. Had Tuf Shine tire coating on the old tires and love the product. I am going to coat the new tires, but having read threads here on tire blooming and antiozonants, etc, my question is do I need to wait to let anything leech out of the tires or outgas...

    How do they make money?

Dude, it was a bit tongue in cheek. Based on seeing your posts over the years, you are stand up guy. There are obviously good apples and bad apples in every profession. I know some very good ones, and also some very bad ones. I have some exposure to the industry and have seen way too many...

    How do they make money?

Mortgage company is the first clue. Hustlers by nature. It's all fast and loose, quick buck. Probably not the kind of people who will appreciate quality work for a premium price. Maybe other people in the complex might appreciate the services you can provide.
