What causes tiny divots in paint?

I HATE those marks. My car and my G/Fs car both have them. Soft toyota paint for us.

My first attempt at claying...what did I do wrong?

This may be a stupid question, but did you get stuck behind someone that may have sprayed their windshield wiper spray excessively? Not sure if those spots are literally all over.... but that reminds me of one time that I was driving and got "misted". It also looks like there is a lot of tire...

Car Paint restoration step #2 : Meguiars Ultimate Compound Review

I agree. I only use Ultimate Compound and Polish, since I dont do this for money. It's so easy to use, and the working time is incredible. Id like to try HD Adapt, after trying HD Speed for the first time last week.

    HD Speed w/3401 - Satisfied customer :)

I did Speed 4, 3 Heavy/slow passes, 2 with medium pressure and medium speed, one with low pressure/fast speed. I have a little bit of a learning curve with the 3401. Im so used to my PC7424XP. Trying to get used to the trigger, and the walking. I completely love the fact that the pad stays...

    HD Speed w/3401 - Satisfied customer :)

Over the weekend, I decided to test out my new Flex 3401 and HD Speed. I had a 9 year old spoiler on my g/fs truck that has never been polished. I decided to have a go at it with an orange CCS pad. I had high expectations because of what everyone raves about with this stuff. I have to say...

    HD Speed Topping Question

I'm planning on doing work with HD Speed for my first time, and I'm planning to top it with 845. When you guys are doing this, do you typically wait for the HD Speed to "cure", or just immediately top it with another LSP? (if you wait... how long?) Thanks!

    Should I rebrand my business??

Just my opinion here, but the logo looks a bit dated, but some folks may like it.

Do you wash your car if it's going to rain?

I usually just assume that the day after I wash it, its going to rain. It always happens. But really, it depends how dirty it is, and how much i can take it.

I think I have caused extreme marring in my paint. How would I go about fixing this with a 7424xp? (First time DA polishing)

Grab some Megs Ultimate Compound, its sooo easy to use. You can get it practically anywhere too.

New to Flex 3401 - Pads Suggestions?

Ohhh, this is great to know! Have you ever used it with the MF finishing discs? I was thinking of buying those, but havent tried them. I was always concerned with how they will finish.

New to Flex 3401 - Pads Suggestions?

Thanks again. I didn't get the flex yet. Just won the bid yesterday. I just wanted to be prepared. I guess for now, I can use it with my megs mf cutting discs. The next car I'm working on will need them.

New to Flex 3401 - Pads Suggestions?

Thanks everyone. Is it possible/recommended to use 5.5 inch pads on the 5.5" plate?

New to Flex 3401 - Pads Suggestions?

Hi All, I currently use a PC 7424xp with LC CCS as well as Hex-Logic 5.5" pads. I decided to buy a Flex 3401 on a whim off of ebay without doing much research beforehand. I didnt realize that I wouldnt be able to use my 5.5" pads unless i get a new backing plate. I am just an amateur that...

Trade: Collinite 476S for Collinite 845 IW

Never thought to use a brush. I typically use an old credit card, and rub it along the surface like applying butter to toast. The 476 builds up a bit, and is pretty soft as it builds up on the card in thin layers. I then smear it on my pad in the same fashion, and go at it with the 7424XP

    Stoner Tarminator

I've always been a fan of Tarminator. Return/exchange it, and see if it helps. Ive never tried using expired Tarminator.
