    Better than Rain-x?

I personally use Stoner Invisible glass to clean the glass, then use Eagle 20/20 glass cleaner afterwards. I use Rain-X washer fluid consistently, and it works perfect for me on a daily driver. I only actually clean the windshields with glass cleaner maybe a few times a year.

    Nu Finish car polish

I agree with the above. Scions have paint thats pretty easy to work with. I usually used ultimate polish with a green pad. Wont get rid of all RIDS, but does a good job of getting gloss, and minimizing swirls.

    Help - I screwed up!

You may want to try out Meg's Ultimate Compound/Polish on the white pad. Did you prime the pad and everything. The only other thing ive heard with 105 is that it dusts a lot... maybe you were working it a long time?

Detailing a 10+ year old car. Newbie. Products?

    1) From what I have read, a lot of people dont seem to like the CG system, and everyone seems to love Menzerna. I personally use Meguiars Ultimate (compound and polish), as it is very user friendly, and gives pretty good results. The cars I work on are all daily drivers, so im never looking for...

    Garage lighting

Agreed. It will be a LONG time before all T8s are phased out. There will be so much pushback from large companies, GE, Phillips, Sylvania that make money off of fluorescents, as well as consumers of Fluorescent lamps like big box retail, Walmart/CVS/Walgreens/Grocery stores, that would cost...

    Garage lighting

    1) I personally use 23W CFL. You can get a screw in to plug socket for your lamp, but that would just be a 2 prong outlet, and you do not want to use a 2prong to 3-prong adaptor, as there is nothing to ground it to properly. This is why i say stick with CFL. 2)LED is a matter of preference...

    PC or GG?

I too have the PC, and from what I've read, I would recommend getting the GG as well. I haven't used the GG, but the PC is on the weak side, and I often wish it had a bit more power to keep the pads spinning better.

    Collinite 476 -Thanks, AGO

I think 915 will be the next one I try. As far as cure time, I remember reading in a thread somewhere that 12 hours was recommended.

    Collinite 476 -Thanks, AGO

Last year I used the 845 on my car, and loved it. The durability was great. In terms of looks, I believe the 845 and the 476 seem about the same. Once I have a chance to work on my girlfriends car, Im thinking about trying to do a side by side to see if there is a difference in looks...

Issue removing all of the rail rust from car.

Definitely clay it. From what I hear, subarus have soft paint so you might get some marring and have to do a light polish on the car

    Collinite 476 -Thanks, AGO

Decided to try out the 476 that I've had sitting around for a year or so. Upon reading through the forums, someone suggested using a credit card to spread the wax onto a pad (I only have 5.5" pads) I used a black ccs pad, on speed 2. The credit card technique worked perfectly to apply wax to...
