Fight or Flight Method for Gaging Surface Temperature

i think it may be because the throw on a da means that a percentage of the pad isn't in contact with the same area of paint for an entire revolution, and so the heat is able to dissipate faster at the edge of the work area. So the larger the pad, the more panel area there is dissipating the...

Miscible and Immiscible - Wax and Paint Sealant Bonding

well now we're into the realms of what most would class as paint coatings, which are a different kettle of fish again. many of these are very fussy and will require chemically clean paint to bond to properly. that said you can apply virtually any product you wish over any other product. it might...

it might also be worth getting some cards done for the event with something like "your car has been detailed for this track event by evolution auto detail" with your contact details on, and put them in each car as they go out towards the end of the event. do speak to the guy running the event...

Got a very interesting job proposal but need serious help / input.

honestly, i don't think you'd keep up. i don't mean that disrespectfully, but its a massive amount of work. just to clean them all at the end of the day ready for the next day you'd be looking at 20-30 minutes per vehicle minimum, now times that by twenty. my advise would be to put a shout out...

Got a very interesting job proposal but need serious help / input.

how many of you are doing the job? tell me its not just you. depending on exactly whats expected, I reckon you'd want one body for every 4 cars (excluding the two on show). price wise, think of a number and quadruple it. i'd also be inclined to charge by the car rather than by the hour, chances...

Does Using A Quick Detail Spray To Aid In Carnauba Removal Hurt Anything?

If you use a prewax glaze (like dodo juice lime prime lite) before waxing, you'll find the wax spreads a lot more easily, so you won't get it caking like that. It'll also add another layer of depth and gloss to the paint

    Foam gun not foaming anymore

Had one of these myself a few years ago. theres i tiny little metal filter in there somewhere that can get blocked up with soap residue. if you can find it and clean it, it may well solve the problem.

    Cutting and finishing pad terminology

effectively, they're all cutting pads, which might be where the confusion has crept in. they just go from very soft (used for finishing) to very firm (used for heavy cutting). so finishing is the process rather than the pad, but any soft pad can be called a finishing pad, because it enables a...
