    wax over wax

It would be hard to predict the results... Number one, if a wax contains any cleaners, you can't layer it on top of itself or anything else... So, assuming no cleaners, I think you would rarely be able to predict the end result of combining waxes. For example, if you liked the deep, wet look...

    BEST Wash Mitt:

It's right there on the page that shows the "BEST" shampoo, wax, sealant, polishes, etc. Just kidding around with you, like everything else in detailing, there isn't really a "BEST" just personal preference and choices. Even the criteria used to determine "BEST" is open for debate...

    I Hate Black Cars

Are those before or after shots? Looks like it may be the leftover marring from the orange pad and possibly not working the polishes long enough (I'm not familiar with the SSR polishes). I think Budman3 has a great "Tips for using SSR2.5" link in his sig... check it out and see if won't help you.

    polishing white paint question

Polishing or applying waxes and sealants can be tricky on white for that reason... good lighting helps a lot and if you pay attention you can still see the polish change color/opacity.

What to use to get wheels shine??

The best thing to do is keep them well maintained and not let them get to bad... P21s cleaner is a great product for removing break dust and road film. I've been using AquaWax on my wheels (factory cc) and it seems to help keep things from sticking. As far as a metal polish goes it will...

Seeking opinion on 08 Galaxy Gray Civic

I've never used the P21S TAW but have seen many good detailers using, the wheel cleaner is a great product, good cleaning and a reputation for safety, I use it on all the dirty wheels I encounter, well maintained wheels will usually wash clean with shampoo and water saving the P21S for once a...

The original 4 Star UPP was well liked for looks but the word was that durability was very lacking for a sealant (similar reviews on WG DGPS). The answer was to add polycharger which gave it more durability but at an additional cost. The new 4 Star UPP has been out long enough to test for...

    Miata

Dawn is often recommended for stripping all old wax and sealants and it won't hurt anything when used occasionally in this manner. That said, between the claying and polishing you won't have any old wax or sealant left anyway. Don't be scared of the PC, it's almost idiot proof. If you can...

Yes, the Klasse Sealant Glaze (SG) can be a PITA to remove. Many report good success with a wipe-on-wipe-off (WOWO) method but I wonder how much durability is sacrificed that way. Klasse SG is VERY shiney (some find fault with this as it's a very "sterile" shine), WG has a wetter look in my...

Klasse AIO is a chemical paint cleaner that leaves behind some acrylic protection... WG Finishing Glaze has mild abrasives. If you want a cleaner in the WG family get the WG Paintwork Polish Enhancer. Wolfgang Pre-Wax Polish Enhancer is absolutely fabulous for producing that elusive...

If time between waxes is your #1 concern, you'll want to go with a sealant. I highly recommend Duragloss 601 + 105 for a nice look and lasting beading. Top it with DG AW after every other wash or so.

    Question about buffer

Is it this one? Craftsman 10 in. Buffer/Polisher - Model 10723 at Sears.com If so, it looks like its maximum speed is 2800 OPM (orbits per minute), where the PC tops out at around 6000. Add in the fact that it's using 10" bonnets and it will be quite limited. In other words, there's no way...

    $750 Budget

The Klass AIO isn't really a true polish, it's a chemical paint cleaner that leaves behind some acrylic protection. It will NOT remove swirls or light scratches. It will remove stubborn water spots if they haven't etched the paint yet... once it's etched, you'll need a true polish.

Detailing an MX5. need help with pads order...

Most quick detailers offer some type of protection but it's very minimul and meant only to prolong a real wax/sealant. Most QDs have some cleaning ability as well and lubricants. This makes them ideal for using while drying after a wash... amp up the shine, prolong the wax/sealant, and...

    Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant

Has anyone tried the new WG Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant? Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant Any comments about how it compares to the old WG Instant Detail Spritz? I tried the Instant Detail Spritz back when I first picked up the regular DGPS but wasn't overly impressed with it, for the same...
