Quick tip regarding wet/dry vacuum filters

Another great tip, and your writeup was very well done. Funny thing. I have an old Genie-brand "shop vac" that I use for my cars because it is small/convenient but powerful for its size. It's factory filtration system consists of something quite similar to your pool sock.

Clay and spray wax with clay bar

My thought is that using a spray wax as a clay lube would actually decrease the clay's effectiveness as the wax would prove to be too "slippery" as a lubricant and thus prevent the clay from getting a good "hold" on the surface contaminant(s).

Need a really good bug melter - ECH2O doesn't touch bugs

:xyxthumbs: Been doing the same thing for literally decades but I've always just used hot water as the "wetting" agent. As for a dedicated product, I've tried CarPro Bug Out and SONAX Insect Remover, with a slight nod to the Bug Out. I'm gonna throw a bottle of Bug Squash in my order for this...

Would Bug Blocker Block Tar ?

Welp, it's road construction season here and they're re-doing a road that I frequently have to travel on. All our vehicles are light-colored, so I am dreading the thought of having to deal with this mess. I've tapped the CR-V to be "sacrificed" and used for all driving during this time until...

    What are you listening to...?

Lately I have been revisiting the superb albums of cover songs done by "Sid n Susie". aka Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs. They are chock full of iconic songs from the 60's & 70's and there's hardly a clinker in the bunch despite the daunting task of having to follow on from the original...

APC dilution ratio for paint and tires?

If you are not willing/able to put in the effort to polish, you might look in to some of the "stripping" washes available ... not sure if there are any for sale in the AG store though ... :dunno:

    Craftsman plant in texas

Construction is apparently behind schedule due to the pandemic. And their site confirms that indeed it is mostly an assembly operation using globally-sourced components. They do have some component forging capacity onsite but that will surely be done with robots and auto-forging presses (for...

Cleaning B pillar vinyl door trim and weather strips

As noted above, we need a little more info about the nature of the surface. For example ... if it's a smooth metal surface (ex. painted metal, piano black, etc.), I'd hit it with Blackfire One Step. If it's a textured plastic surface, I'd try a wax remover product or APC (light to med...
