If you are talking about the dulling on the trim ring around the switch button, I agree that trim paint is probably the best solution. If you see brown, the area may be worn down far enough to expose the substrate color of the plastic. Another option is maybe you could replace that trim ring...

I can't speak for WETS, but I use a similar product from McKee's and have asked Nick this very same question ... he recommended cleaning the trim first before applying the new coat. A plastic trim cleaner works well for this. Or the OPC at 3:1, that is their recommendation for cleaning...

Car-wise, the melt is worse than the snow. The roads are finally dry, you have your ride all spiffed up and then you hit an unavoidable puddle. Trouble is, that puddle is really this "slushy", a mix of water and ice and super-concentrated with all the salt, etc., that has run off the road...

Question : Is the amount of foam generated really indicative of cleaning power, lubricity, etc. ? I ask because we had a similar discussion about the amount of suds generated by different car wash products, whether it really made any difference as products are formulated differently. :dunno:

I'm in a similar position as OP and have been looking in to a polisher in this class ... I'm about convinced it is well worth the additional $100 or so for the ibrid. :dunno:

Robust Tools is another machine builder to look at, although they are on the higher side of the price scale. But their machine tools are just like their company name implies ...

Oh, I definitely agree on the cone. Also, for REALLY tight spots, I will break out the Dremel and one of their soft, cloth polishing "cones" as they call them (really they are more like little solid nubs of cloth tapered to a rounded tip) ... obviously just for light imperfections as you cannot...
