    Opti coat on thin paint

I wonder if there is a limit in applying layers of OC. Someone who has thin clearcoat might decide to layer OC 2.0 as much as possible.

    ONR Turns clear

They are correct. Distilled water is the solution. It still turns clear in my experience but it will take way longer time. If you use distilled water, you will consume the mixture first before it becomes clear. I wanted to try sterilized drinking water for infants, but I think it is too much...

    Menzerna PO85RD (4500) What pad?

I always wonder how non-abrasive pads break down the diminishing abrasives in PO85RD. Maybe the heat and friction are enough?

    Starting from scratch

Wow! That's a great list for someone just starting to get hooked in detailing. Just think it through so you would just buy everything you need. I agree with their suggestion to get clay and APC+. Also consider decon products like IronX and/or Trix.

    DuraGloss #111 clearcoat polish....thoughts

AFAIK, KAIO has no abrasives so it will not do anything against swirls. Perhaps, the KAIO showed the existing swirls by removing everything that hides them.

I am sure it will. It may take a while but once you master everything, you will save a lot of time. One of the posters is correct, determine first the best service that you can provide in 3 hours. It does not have to be perfect; a quality work will yield drastic results on neglected cars. Good...

Weekly Drywashed - 2 years and running - Sun Shots

I also see swirls in (only) one picture. My eyes are not that experienced yet in spotting swirls. Nonetheless, even if BB's waterless method instilled those swirls, I think they are minimal and acceptable considering that the swirls accumulated within a period of two years. For me, swirls are...
