    Menzernas Product questions?

Opti-Coat is a revolutionary product. It should not be considered as just another sealant. It is a liquid resin that when cured adds what might be considered as an extra layer of clear coat. Theoretically it provides indefinite protection. It won't wash off with Dawn and can only be removed by...

    Menzernas Product questions?

Menzerna make a range of very good compounds/polishes, but the naming system leaves a little to be desired and so does that chart. Also it would appear that there are different products available in different parts of the world. It is far more accurate to refer to them by the part number system...

    Opti-coat 2.0 question...

Well I would describe it as those who would like to maintain the look and feel of a Optimum Opti-Seal/Optimum Car Wax look and feel. I don't rate that as a "waxed finish" but as a perfection finish. I know you don't like it Chris, but perhaps you too should try it.

    Opti-coat 2.0 question...

OCW might not be necessary after a wash, but it will add slickness to the paint surface that isn't there after a standard Opti-Coat application. I've done many OC applications lately and all have been finished with Poli-Seal and then OCW for a superb finish. I've had no reports of the above...

    My Opti-coat 2.0 impressions/questions

Yes that is obvious and not relevant because those users would probably not own a suitable polisher. The target market for Opti-Coat is exactly the same as the target market for either Optimum Hyper Compound and Optimum Hyper Polish, therefore a video demonstration of the application of...

    My Opti-coat 2.0 impressions/questions

Chris, Ridiculous!! - sorry to disagree. I would have thought that a professional instructional video could convey just a tad more information than the single instruction found on the Opti-Coat syringe “Apply to a foam pad and wipe on exterior automotive surfaces”. I have to say I don’t...

    My Opti-coat 2.0 impressions/questions

Chris, Suit yourself mate, but sometimes a little lateral thinking can pay off big time. One thing that is bloody obvious is that the existing videos aren’t doing it for new users. Sportscarhiatus is a good example because if ever there was someone that has read every thread there is on...

    Opti-Coat and PolySeal

Yes you can, but you may need to move up to a green or white pad depending on the severity of the streak. Dr. G recommends the use of Poli-Seal for removing unwanted streaks - see their forum.

    My Opti-coat 2.0 impressions/questions

Well from your most recent post maybe you aren’t using enough product. However you did appear to prime the applicator the same way as I do, that is just a small numbers of drops in an X pattern. Also 4-5ccs for a small car like the Civic would be about right. I don’t use the supplied applicator...

    My Opti-coat 2.0 impressions/questions

My apologies Chris. There was third Opti-Coat video here just recently and I mixed up your video with it. As a suggestion it may be a good idea for you to make some more videos. In particular how not to apply Opti-Coat as compared to how to correctly apply it. Let the video show how you work...

    My Opti-coat 2.0 impressions/questions

A couple of points. When I first started using Opti-Coat the temperatures here were approx 25C (77F). Now the temperature as we approach winter is down to 12C (53F). I’ve just finished the bonnet of a BMW X5 and I would say the flashing time of Opti-Coat is exactly the same whether the temp is...

Optimum Coating Pro Version Review - Premium Detailed - Garry Dean - Tampa, FL

Garry, Even after curing it won't be slick like a wax. You can get the slickness back by going over with OCW after the Opti-Coat has cured. If you want the ultimate finish/slickness wait a few days to allow the Opti-Coat to fully cure and then go over the paint with Poli-Seal using a blue or...

    VIDEO: Opti Coat Application

Wow that was quick. So who/what dipped out from the above<g> Great video. Liked the different techniques. You sure use a lot more product than I do though. I'm tending to do double coats as I go, but I still suspect you are still using more. I'll experiment some more with a heavier coat. Did...

    Opinions: Opti-coat or CQuartz

Avi, I was just doing another C.Quartz panel today when I happened to check the label on the bottle. It says wait 10 minutes where as the documentation stated 5 minutes. There is definitely something wrong with your quality control with all these different times. I can't help but suspect that...

    Opinions: Opti-coat or CQuartz

Temperature was about 20 C. Surface is beading ok. Why is the Australian distributor documentation incorrect?

    Opinions: Opti-coat or CQuartz

The C.Quartz came from the Australian distributor. The 5 minute instruction is on both a 4 page brochure of all your products and a separate brochure just on C.Quartz. Each page of each brochure reads AQUARTZ.net. Sounds like someone has stuffed up big time then... What is the likely affect...

    Opinions: Opti-coat or CQuartz

Avi, These new times you posted!! Why then does it say Wait 5min. in the product documentation. Does that mean my new purchase is old stock and an old formulation? Should I wait 5 mins or use your the times you just posted?

    Forever Black Question

In my opinion, Forever Black is a much underrated product. I’ve got no idea why, but you don’t often see posts about it and when you do they all seem to be derogatory. There is one terrible video of a guy applying Forever Black, who obviously had no idea what he was doing, so possibly that video...

    New Product - Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0

Wow… What got your knickers in such a knot? I’m sorry, but I just don’t follow your logic. In one post you disagree and in the very next you agree. Is that part of your OCD problem? Let’s just say you win and I’m out of here… I’m sure by the time this thing grows to 64 pages you’ll be...

    New Product - Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0

A couple of corrections. I didn’t make the claim it was not permanent, Optimum Polymer Technologies did, please see their web site and their product usage description. You are correct in that it can be removed just as easily as removing any portion of clear coat as in any regular...
