Everyone is making a living, not just the ones who charge more. If you feel the cheap detail guy in your area is stealing work from you, then you need to figure out what you are doing wrong that customers are choosing the cheap undercutting guy instead of your services
However a man makes an honest living is very respectable. Supply the market with what they want. If you have enough clients to charge "what you're worth" do it. If there's more business in lower budget work, then do that.
Even with the valve closed to maximum you are still using water pressure not air pressure. And the dilution ratio is still being changed. You know this because when the solution bottle for the lancer empties, plain water is then coming out.
My question is more towards the carpro company not being clear in product description. Website says 3to6, actual product label says up to 3. The inconsistency of the manufacturer description is what I'm questioning. I'm very familiar with the products results and how paint condition...
Descriptions of product from carpro's site (and AG I believe) says "3 to 6 months" . All bottles I've had and a brand new liter that I just got delivered today says "up to 3 months). So. .. which is it?
What's the opinion on using 845 without first using a paint cleaner? Say I just iron x, clay, and then apply 845. Could this be a good offering to customers or would they be missing out on the full benefits of squeaky clean paint? I've been using a paint cleaner and have had great results, but...
I've been using reload a lot recently. I've been using a suede mf wraps around the carpro applicator sponge. I use Very little product and it almost flashes away instantly and only requires light buffing with a plush microfiber
Could this work as a clay lube? Say you wash vehicle with reset, rinse. Mix a small batch like a gallon of hydrofoam as clay lube and use with nanoskin wash mitt. Rinse. Dry. That could be a huge time saver for me
I worked on a brand new chevy cruz with hard paint, black. A few days later another chevy cruz with soft paint, red. You never know until you test spot.

Bob, what kind of marks are you seeing return? Just yesterday I took some sunscreen overspray off a truck bed, do not see any clear coat damage now. Is returning marks something to keep an eye on?
It is? Customers want to pay for a level 3 package when all the vehicle needs is a level 2.5.
So if the vehicle has a flawless interior, but has one section that needs a stain removed, they would want to pay for a full interior deep cleaning instead of a basic cleaning with a spot removal?
