    Bad Marring from Clay Mitt

I will give this a try next time, your theory makes the most sense to me though so I will definitely wash the car with a true wash mitt and dry before I switch to the mitt. Thank you for your advice!

    Bad Marring from Clay Mitt

The temperature was between 30-40 degrees. I'm located in Kansas City.

    Bad Marring from Clay Mitt

I washed the car first by spraying it down with a foam cannon and pressure rinsing the foam off. Followed by an additional foam blasting and wiping with the non-rubber side of the mitt before using the clay side.

    Bad Marring from Clay Mitt

The mitt was properly broken in and used on a few vehicles before these jobs. Jobs were both Subaru paint, I guess I should expect more than usual since they have some super soft paint. I wiped down the panel with the non-rubber side first then flipped it over to rubber side.

    Bad Marring from Clay Mitt

Let's add some more problems that I've had recently, learning by fire has really been kicking my butt recently. I used an Eagle One Clay Mitt one my last 2 one step jobs and it left me some pretty extreme marring. Now I know some marring is to be expected but wow... Here was my process: Foam...

Part-Time Detailer needing a definitive AIO or Polish/LSP

I am a big fan of the Keramik! How do you like the 808? I have been super interested in it, especially for its bold claims. It's a bit expensive for me to just try on a whim though... If it truly has the durability it claims, or even 3-4 months I would gladly buy that and just do a Keramik + 808...

Part-Time Detailer needing a definitive AIO or Polish/LSP

Reviving a buried question of mine: What exactly happens when you apply a topper to an AIO, such as HD Speed, within its cure time? Is the topper durability compromised due to bonding? Or is it just ruining the protection of the AIO?

Part-Time Detailer needing a definitive AIO or Polish/LSP

I only did it probably 2 months ago and it seems like it's doing fine. However I topped it with aquawax so that could've boosted it a little bit.

Part-Time Detailer needing a definitive AIO or Polish/LSP

Another question, what pad do you recommend for HD Speed? I have a Rupes 21 MkII so I'd need a large throw pad.

Part-Time Detailer needing a definitive AIO or Polish/LSP

I have a local detailer as well who loves using HD Speed, I was seriously considering that as well. Do you all still recommend waiting 12 hours before applying 845 or other topper? What exactly happens if I apply before the "cure time"? Does it compromise the AIO? Or does the topper not bond to...

    Help with clay bar technique?

I hate the mothers yellow clay... Always had marring issues no matter the lubricant or pressure (or lack of pressure I should say) and didn't really work that great. Difficult to fold as well.

That's what I used to remove the marring :)

    Help with clay bar technique?

I detailed my grandparent's new Lexus RX in Navy Blue over the weekend. I washed the car like normal and to my surprise with it only being a couple months old, the front end of the car did not pass the plastic bag test. So I broke open a brand new Megs white clay bar, flattened it nice and thin...

Need help with 3M Compound and Polishing Products No other brands please just 3M

I have been using the 3M Perfect-It EX Compound and Polish for over 2 years now in my body shop. They are absolutely fantastic and when in doubt, I always rely on them to give me the results I need. However... I have only used these with their intended corresponding rotary buffer pads. I have...
