What is your faviorte wash mitt?

I love the wookies fist! The only down side it is takes forever to dry out. It is a treat I reserve for my car all others get MF mitts or grout sponges depending how groady they are.

    first order from AG

A wolfgang detail bag and some.other goodies for xmass 2010. I got into this as a way to spend time with my new car and I figured it was cheaper than modding it... But I may have been wrong on the last part. ;)

    HT pad explodes??

I had the same issues, and while i have learned a bit since then and I don't seem to get this as much; I found it better to replace them once they wore our with an lc flat or ht pads as the velcro goes all the way to the edge. As for the ballooning I feel your pain. I had this happen on a pad i...

    Constant pressure pads vs non

They are the same foam on the face but they have a blue foam on the back to keep them stable. They will work but you might be happier with good old flat pads. They work just as well if nor better and with the velcro going all the way to the edge it will last longer. My da backing plate was able...

Arizona sun 1, UTTG Solution Finish 0

Dave, I am back in az for a few weeks so ill post up a few pictures of my buddies truck I did back in June. I am beginning to think the type of plastic plays a big part. His door handles look great but the cowling is starting to fade just like the experience you had.

New to detailing with a few questions!

Different foam and designed for the flex. Personally l love the beveled edges. Im not sure if there is an actual advantage to using them over hydros. With the pc the 6.5" pads may be hard to use and the 5" use a 4" plate forcing you to use a 3.5" for the pc. So with a pc and a 5" plate the...

Automatic car washing better than hand washing!?

I always wondered why rental cars have perfectly uniform scratches on the hood and roof...so their real point is the average Joe just can't make the scratches as expertly as they can :(

New to detailing with a few questions!

While they were not made for the da I had no problem using them on a gg rop. I like the hybrids a lot but I swith between them and hydros often. Based on ease of use , price and sizes available the hydro are a great choice in a build your own kit senario. Consider a 3" plate also and some...

New to detailing with a few questions!

When I started off I had all ccs pads and over time I have seen why every one loves the flat pads especially the hydro techs. My ccs pads didn't hold up well and the velcro on the back of the pads goes to the edges protecting them from the backing plate.

New to detailing with a few questions!

Wow you responded as I was changing my post :) Both are tried and true setups but I love sf4500 or wolfgang finishing glaze. All depends on how soft the paint is. My silver honda fit's paint is pretty soft.

New to detailing with a few questions!

I agree get a setup with 5.5 in pads. If your fits paint is in good condition you shouldn't need anything as strong as 105 yet. No matter what you decide don't forget to add a free sample of something else to try. Sent via telepathy

    DA on a respray panel?

If you search around some people have had success using other compounds besides d300. I've never tried anything else with mf disks so I can't provide any insight there.
