Simplified process for 'AIO detail' - what do you think?

I tend to agree if you are going to turn an AIO into a 2 step process, you might as well do a polish followed by wax or sealant. Avoid AIO's on black at all costs but other colors seem to be ok. For me an AIO works well for the minor damaged cars where people just want shiney, which is most...

    AG Addiction

As I sit here writing some code for my soon to be detailing business site I have came to the realization that this site is already a (rather positive) addiction. As I've posted elsewhere here I've been detailing for awhile, friends and families cars which have allowed me to work with a pretty...

Car cleaned / maintained with Waterless Wash - Can it be detailed?

Clean is clean, if you have not done more than a waterless wash in say a month and need to decontaminate and polish it's hard to fathom it being clean. If the LSP is upkept or its a garage queen I can see WW working (like on a classic) but then you wouldn't need to repolish or decontaminate...

Simplified process for 'AIO detail' - what do you think?

There are 2 types of AIO, chemical like Klasse AIO or DG501 and abrasive AIOs like D151 or HD Speed. I'm not sure why you pointed out it's not an abrasive AIO as I can't see anything indicating he didn't know the difference. I prefer D151 as my AIO but that's me. Not sure I'd say chemical AIOs...

Car cleaned / maintained with Waterless Wash - Can it be detailed?

Any time you feel the need to decontaminate and polish it is well overdue for a 2 bucket wash in my opinion.

    very disappointed

Quality and cheap are more often than not polar opposite terms. I don't know much about mass market "car wash" shampoos beyond them being pretty bad in every country (and the brushes even worse). Unfortunately when trying to avoid hand washing (cutting corners) I'm not sure you will find...

My first week with my New Mytee Lite II

Exactly. If you pre treat the stains as you should it has no problems even with BAD carpets. Heck bad carpets can even be done by hand but it takes forever. An extractor just speeds everything up and you have less issues with carpet drying time as well. The Mytee might be more powerful but it is...

Starting out simple for now, advice please

If someone is starting a business before they have technique figured out (to a certain degree as we are always learning) they are doing things in the wrong order IMO. Also remember process is part of technique. Alot of maximizing profits is just applying the proper technique to the job and...

    Your recommended car wash soap?

Generally speaking any of the big brands make a decent shampoo, so long as you do a thorough job it's the steps following especially claying that are going to make the biggest impact so you have to look at cost factoring in dilution ratio especially if you are doing this for coin. Citrus Wash &...

1Z Einszett Plastic Vinyl Deep Cleaner Plastik Reiniger and a small brush or better, steam for the cup holders. Starting out simple for now, advice please

If you are doing this for profit you probably want to skip washing again after claying. If you used a good microfiber polishing cloth to dry after claying you shouldn't need the 2nd wash, time is money. Packages can be done in many ways and often depends on what you have to work with and what...

The DA comes to my mind, microfiber as well, neither of which would make a great logo.

Share your best business card design tip?

I've seen several great card designs in this thread but this one reminded me of an important tip: on promotional items such as this, get the grammar and spelling correct. Always double check before having the card printed. "YOUR GONNA LIKE THE WAY YOUR RIDE LOOKS, I GUARANTEE IT" This should...

My Microfiber Seperation - Any Advice?

So far what I have been doing is similar to Mike's advice of: Water soluable Wax/sealant Everything else I also keep my glass towels seperate. Anything non-microfiber like cotton gets it's own load. Everything is washed using Tide Free or Oxiclean with 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the rinse...
