detailing my car when i got a ridiculous phone call

Very likely she was on some sort of a drug, whether prescribed or not. I work in a auto parts store and get people telling me their life story all the time, I just let them ramble on until they get I'm not the right person to be having a conversation with since I'm "busy".

I have done this as well. Works very well, for the tougher scuffs or grease stains I use a diluted APC and brush.

    Marring..

I used to work in an auto parts store. The same totes they use for starter, alt, core returns and any returns in general, all the new products come back in the same totes. They are never cleaned, so the metal from defect brake pads, dirt and grime from other returns and defects the MF towels...

Microfiber pad vs Foam pads on a rotary buffer

Hey guys I currently have a rotary buffer with foam pads, I have used it a couple of time with prety good success on spare practice panels. I have not tried to do some real cutting but instead mild cut and polish with decent results, I'm trying not to damage my panels too much. I was looking...

Would you get 2- 12x12 Canopies or - 10x20 Canopie?

I would go with two 12x12, easier to set up although may take a little longer to set up. Also if you happen to work in a tighter spot 12x12 would fit.

New to detailing... What should I get?

Wash, claybar, Meguiar's paint correction kit worked well for me. Also sandpaper a can of white paint and clear would help. Meguiar's kit was very easy to apply, even by hand I was happy with the rsults. I had a white P10, and it worked out fairly well, was not noticable unless you got pretty...

    In need of some advice...

I definitely understand under 1k is not really feasible. I do plan on investing more. Just with the 1k I have now, I'd like to get an idea of what I should think of getting. Not looking to be prefessional right now, but gt more serious as a hobby and getting paid for it.

    In need of some advice...

My main focus point is definitely learning the basics and building upon that. Boot camp is definitely I'm going to attend, whether it be this one or the next one. As of right now, I can take care of mild swirls and oxidized paint and other minor defects. I know for a fact I need to be more...
