Help on DA Shopping List - Black 07 Mercedes AMG

I feel like with m205 you'll get one of two results, depending on whether the hard coat is still available to you or not. 1. It will do next to nothing (the hard clear is still there) 2. It will do too much and leave marring (the hard clear has been abraded away) You might get lucky and it...

Help on DA Shopping List - Black 07 Mercedes AMG

Makes sense. As I mentioned before, Amigo is going to have fillers and Hydro is a synthetic sealant. See my second edit above regarding why the detailer may have used fillers on your paint. Once you find out if you do have ceramiclear I guess your best bet is to figure out whether the 0.2...

Help on DA Shopping List - Black 07 Mercedes AMG

:welcome: Why did you buy a Harbor Freight DA if you already had a Porter Cable? I'm assuming you mean the 7424XP. I'm struggling with this one too. I've used Prima products with the PC 7424XP on plenty of cars (including hard Mercedes clear) with no problems. I can't judge the...

    Cleaner Waxes

I'm a little biased because I've used Prima for exteriors strictly over my whole career, but I really enjoy their system and I've found no reason to try anything else. Hydro Wash is formulated for use with their other Hydro products since there is no polymer in it and it will allow the Hydro...

    Cleaner Waxes

I just tested Prima Epic over the weekend. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/75805-can-prima-epic-used-aio.html

Mayday Mayday! Oxidation/clear coat failure comes back!

Subscribed. I'm interested to see what happens with the Opti-Coat. It's an interesting test because we're still not quite sure what this is, but it could end up being an inexpensive way to stave off clear coat failure for considerably longer.

Can Prima Epic Be Used as an AIO

Thanks! Prima Epic Synthetic Wax, liquid car wax, polymer wax, paint sealant I did the IPA wipe to see the true condition of the paint since this was a test and I didn't want any sealant masking it. I haven't sealed the paint yet (I'm going to do a few more tests with this car) but when I'm...

Can Prima Epic Be Used as an AIO

With a Lake Country orange light cutting pad: Yes Now I'm not totally sure if the pad did all of the work or if the Epic helped, but I definitely noticed an improvement in paint condition after the sealant was removed with IPA. Below is the process and pictures; I hope everyone enjoys...

    Compound help

Agreed. First look at your technique and then consider your products. I wouldn't use products from two different manufacturers as they're designed to work as a system. Also, pictures will help.:xyxthumbs:

    Winter Weather and ONRWW

:welcome: I'm going to echo most others here and say go with an ONR presoak and it it with a hose of pressure washer, that's what I usually do. Out in CO they dump mag chloride and gravel all over the roads so my car is pretty much coated in sandpaper every time it snows. ONR and some...

    Wheels vs. Rims

I knew we would get a good discussion on this forum! I've looked up this topic before and whenever I see people discussing it then it always turns into some sort of flame war. My big problem with it is from more of a professionalism standpoint. A good amount of us on here are professional...

    Wheels vs. Rims

See, I think this is where a lot of people are confused. Tire = Tire Rim = Outer part of the wheel where the tire is mounted. Wheel = All of the various parts including the rim Now whether a tire + wheel can also be called a wheel or should be referred to as a "tire and wheel assembly" is...

    Wheels vs. Rims

Hi all– I wanted to start a discussion about the recent(ish) trend with people referring to wheels as rims. Whenever I hear someone call wheels rims I cringe. Is it a problem where slang is replacing the actual word? What does everyone think? Arguments for or against?

Same here. They really have a great system put together and then you get the added bonus of Amigo.

    Classic truck paint correction

This. :iagree: Looking forward to the results. Depending on your polish the little specks could be micromarring from your compounding attempts. Regardless, they shouldn't be too tough to get out with the m105/205 combo. Good luck!
