    I swear this is true

I used Simple Green Pro HD the other day for road tar, and bugs. It worked very well. It's also safe for Aluminum.

    I swear this is true

I've heard this over the years, but have never tried it out. My luck it would take the paint off. J/K

    what is the best wax

The slickest for me was Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0. Even slicker than Z-2. jmo This is with proper prep though.

    I swear this is true

Gasoline works much better than kerosene. If that doesn't work, heating the rust spot works much better. Just stand back a few feet before heating. :D

    Most durable Collinite?

Fwiw. Collinite says their 476s last the longest at (9-11) months, 845 (5-7) months and 915 (8-10) months. In a wax test done on another site, 915 was still going strong after 6.5 months. 845 and 476s fell off a couple months earlier.

    Most durable Collinite?

bcwang, speaking about products going bad.. There's no telling how long products sit on shelves before we buy them. At my local carquest they have DG and Meguiar's products that have been there forever. A few Meguiar's products have been there so long, that the labels are fading. I...

    Most durable Collinite?

Why was it disappointing? Hard to remove, or was it something else?? Fwiw. 845 and 476s are made with the same ingredients according to Collinite.

    Most durable Collinite?

Fwiw. Out of about 30 waxes with carnauba, 915 was one of the few waxes left standing after 6 1/2 months. Test was done last year. 915 beat 476s by several months. The person testing these products was the same person who tested the sealants not long ago. Wolfgang 3.0 was one of the few left...

PRODUCT SCENTS - Whats your favorite

I happen to like the Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel. It smells like Hawaiian fruit punch. Doesn't taste bad either. :D Wax would be Souveran paste.

    best for "white paint"

I was impressed with P21S paint cleaner, & Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant 3.0. It looks great on my white SUV. I've also used the DG line and Zaino on my paint. The Wolfgang 3.0 is the slickest. imo If you're on a budget, and can buy it locally the DG line is really good. I wouldn't hesitate to...

Leather care products necessary at all?

I tried using Duragloss shampoo to clean my leather seats, but it wouldn't clean them. So, I ended up buying the Lexol cleaner. Lexol worked great, cleaned the years of regular use/dirt off of them. Now that the seats are clean, I imagine I'll apply the DG conditioner to them. The seats smell...

    Before I buy the Flex.

Yeah, I ended up oiling it. It had some light oil already, but like you guys said, better safe then sorry. I still haven't used it yet. Maybe this week with "no rain" I'll get a chance. :D Question. I have a few spider web scratches, that aren't noticeable unless you look really closely...

Do you guys still recommend oiling the felt ring on the new flex polishers, or has that issue been resolved?

    DURAGLOSS application questions

You can experiment and see what works best for you. I believe 671, and 501 are kind of the same. Both should remove light scratches & swirls. You could use a PC, or flex with these if you wanted. I've always applied DG 601&105 by hand. IMO it's like Zaino. Not many people (I know) apply the...

    All Purpose Cleaner Opinions

Fwiw. There's some new ( at least new to me) Simple Green products that have been tested, thoroughly and proven to be non-corrosive to aluminum. Simple Green has developed break-through water based cleaners that are safe for use on metals, plastics, rubber and high tech alloys. Extreme Simple...

    Before I buy the Flex.

I believe it's three towels and shipping for about 35.00. I should be receiving two Cobra MF's with my Flex pkg tomorrow "from AG". I'll compare them to the ones I already have. If they are that much better, I may have to order some.

    New Fuzion Mini

Not bashing any product. This is just an observation. It's kind of wild, that paste wax can retail anywhere from $5.00-$50,000, and normally doesn't last very long. Yet the best sealants (that last at least 6 months) are under 40.00. Why is that?

    Before I buy the Flex.

What microfiber towels do you recommend? Has anyone tried the new Zaino towels? macman3130, what part of north MS? Rsurfer, I forgot to tell you. I did the CD test with the microfiber towels from Sam's. I rubbed light, and then as hard as possible without breaking the CD. No scratches.

Griots Garage and Autogeek together in Car Care Harmony!

I wish autogeek would quit carrying more products... I only have so much money. Unless I receive a bailout. :D

    Before I buy the Flex.

Could be. I think they are coming from regular washing and drying. You know how black shows everything. lol I guess I need to buy some better quality MF's and find out. Any suggestions on what MF's to buy?? About the Souveran, I have three tubs of it. It looks great, but it attracted the dust...
