    Long lasting windshield treatment

G1 works great, so far I'm on month four and holding strong. However it is not easy to apply. Make sure you have an extra pack of those silly cosmetic "pads" or better yet cut your own micro swede cloth for application. It is all too easy for them to stick to your gloves and then fall to the...

    That one product...

Klasse It's acrylic meaning it will adhere to nearly everything from paint, trim and glass and nearly all sealants, waxes and toppers will adhere to it. Good UV resistance. Does not stain. Long durability.

You are wasting Your Time and Money, All of You!

:iagree: I really like this idea. Reminds me of this one guy in the UK who did this to his sister's car to prove a point to take care of it. He Opti-coated half the hood on a white car. It took only a year to start seeing the difference. You don't have to use Opti-coat but any high UV resistant...

autogeek.net store not working with iPad

Am I the only one having a problem with autogeek.net store on an iPad? The problem I'm having is the "shopping cart" keeps forgetting the items added when moving onto a new product/item page.

Best way to prep for paint coating?

The Gtechniq coating prep stuff is excellent. Both the panel wipe and polish (P2). Panel Wipe a little sprayed on a microfiber cloth goes a very long way. It can be used for any coating prep, same with the Detailers Pro Coating Prep, they all get to a clean paint surface which is what all...

    Klasse Confusion

The pads are really manufacturer dependent but there is a very loose standard for colors that most follow. I recommend only applying the Klasse All In One with a DA, either a Lake County white or preferable green pad. KAIO is really a surface cleaner so the DA helps to "scrub" the surface. The...

    Klasse Confusion

I've seen about ten different ways of applying Klasse. You can apply it to near about anything, even the kitchen counter . . . for real! Does a pretty good job of sealing it up. I think it does a great job on plastic/rubber trim, especially since it contains UV blockers. Klasse is for the most...

Big FU to Black SUV's.....Ford Expedition EL

Here is the perspective from someone who is tall, I hate doing over sized SUVs. I guess something's don't change with height. I know this is above what you've got planned for the job but these oversized SUVs (and mini-vans) are perfect candidates for Opti-coat on the roof. That was a big job...

Hey, don't beat yourself up. Your learning, nothing that can not be corrected. If my hunch is correct, you just need to wipe the panel. The pad break in info was in the helpful tips section . . I think right below the instructions. Complete how to videos: autogeek - YouTube Autoscrub how to...

Also You Tube has great instructional videos on how to do each of the steps. Just Google it under videos tab. Watch a couple of the videos before doing anything else. It is a fantastic resource for those like me who prefer to see over read. Using the Autoscrub should have been spray Glide then...

nooB alert: Couple questions to make sure I understand before diving in...

Three things. One did you break the pad in on the windshield? You soak the pad then use on a very hard surface like glass until the shipping protection coating is removed. The rubber coating should feel rubbery with grip to the touch when ready. Second, the Glide should be diluted at 7:1 ratio...

    What exactly is this?

You can try wet sanding it down with fine grit sandpaper wraped over a flat wood block. Then compound and then polish the area. The goal is to flatten the surface to make it blend in. Work slowly and don't try to offer do it, you will not get it looking perfect the goal is to make it less obvious.

    What exactly is this?

Looks like a bad touch up paint job to fix a big ding. Can not suggest a solution until you figure out what it is. Is it clear or is it the same color as the car?

Also, 303 makes excellent fabric/carpet protection and cleaner for the inside. You'll need it with a two year old. Wal-Mart sells basic seat/bench covers for cheap that will save your seats tons. Just look at the remains when you move the baby seat

The Meg's Ultimate Compound and Polish are good and can be found cheap otc. Since you're going to compound anyway try using soapy water with the Nanoskin Autoscrub. I've read where people have had decent success doing that and if it mars no big deal just compound it out. To cut cost get three...

    NAnoskin fine vs medium?

It is unusual to get maring with the fine pad, just make sure you use plenty of lube. I prefer to use Glide because once you figure the correct dilution rate it is cheap and a little goes a long way. Only on a few cases have I had to use the medium grade, more or less the front bug catching...
