Which Sealant is Easiest to Use?

The proper usage of Klasse, use the all in one first. It is really a surface cleaner getting you ready for the Klasse Sealant. I prefer to apply KAIO with a DA, white or green pad. Wipe off residue. Then Klasse Sealant by hand using a microfiber covered sponge. Let it sit for an hour. Then use a...

He should not have rewashed the car after eraser. I wonder if a layer of Dawn soap scum was left on the car.

    2013 Porsche 911 Cabriolet coated with GTechniq C1, EXO, & EXOv2!

Looks like Michael did a great job on the 911. I did the family wagon (Odyssey) in the same way but I applied two coats of Klasse High Gloss Sealant (due to it being acrylic) between the C1 and EXOv2 to prevent what I think was a chemical reaction that we were hearing about in posts (the hazing...

How long before OEM Hydrophobic Ceramic Clear Coat?

I was watching TV and saw a commercial for Rust-Oleum Never Wet and it got me to wondering "How long before a (most likely high-end) OEM car will come with a super hard Hydrophobic Ceramic Clear Coat that does not require much maintenance?" Mercedes has the super hard ceramic based clear coat...

I think you are going to need the whool pad for the bad parts but start off with the organge and see your results. That deep scratch I don't think you're going to fully get out but you can make it less visible.

Time wise, how long between the two layers of application? Is it not beading after giving it a wash? It could have a layer of road "muck" on it keeping it from beading.

    New car optiguard

If your doing the Opti Coat 2.0 inside a garage, I would highly recommend doing a second coat/layer 48 hours later (do not drive). Just before doing the second layer do a distilled water spray and wipe to get any dust or residue off that might have collected. You might need a second tube, better...

    New car optiguard

Wash thoroughly Iron-x Jewel with one of the new "nano" (marketing term) jeweling polishes that wipe clean, I've noticed that they all seam to be water soluble. I've had great success and am very impressed with the Gtechniq P2. You can think of this as not only jeweling but really a surface...

    Opti-Coat 2.0, 22ple VX1 Pro, or GTechniq EVOv2

Yes, Opti Coat 2.0 you can layer but you have to work with the drying/curing process. I recommend waiting around 48 hours to add the second coat. I've never had a problem. The rep has added that you can wait up till 30 days (depending on climate temperature and humidity) to add a layer after...

    Opti-Coat 2.0, 22ple VX1 Pro, or GTechniq EVOv2

Opti coat would be the best bet and between 12 hours after and 30 days you can add layers (which is nice insurance that you did not miss a spot). EXO is more of a sealant than a coating, meaning it's not quite as thick or scratch resistant. At the same time we are taking about splitting hairs...

Post some pictures, include up close pictures. Do you have deep scratches? If it is just mildly neglected then you might not need wool pads. Then if cost is an issue, orange and green could get you to where you want to be. What did you decide on sealant? One final thought, if the Glide costs...

After rereading, I want to be clear. You'd use KIAO as a surface cleaner to clean off the polishing oils and not as a replacement for polishing.

All good advice, I second the Nanoskin Autoscrub and right now Nanoskin has a killer sale on Amazon. Probably the fine pad will do as you can reuse that later when you get the paint corrected. Make sure to get a good lube for it, Glide works great and goes a long way at a 7 to 1 ratio. This one...

    Paint sealant suggestions...

Give the Klasse twins a try, very strong and will last up to a year. Maybe even consider putting on a coating if you work with the weather forecast, most coatings you only have to worry about the first three hours of curing time. Or you can try a combination, a coating for very light scratch and...

Ipa wipe down with 70% isopropyl alcohol mixture question

A great option if your applying coatings is just do a finish/jeweling polish that wipes clean (unlike most polishes that leave lubricating oils). Gtechniq's P2 works great (some of the best polish I've used) and have read good things about Optimum Finishing Polish. Just make sure to use a...

    Going door to door?

I don't think it is a totally bad idea so long as your not trying too much pressure at the door step. Make up a nice flyer with your picture on it highlighting what you can do for them, why detailing is important, examples of your work, website, honestly state why your going door to door for...

New Car - First Wax Questions.

Very similar to Calendyr but the method I would recommend is: 1) Wash 2) Iron-x it 3) Nanoskin Auto Scrub with fine pad 4) Polish with a fine grade polish that leaves little to no reside when wiped. This does two things, super cleans the paint and does a light correction job on scratches or any...

    Strange THING on roof.

I think Ken got it. Look at the center and you'll see a small "rock" chip that has probably let moisture in causing paint bubbling. I like the paint color. Is it a factory color? I don't remember this color being offered. Was the original color white or silver? Just guessing by the color of the...
