What’s your prep for winter and what do you like for protection. Last year I did 845 which really wasn’t the right choice for Chicago. Lots of salt, lots of extreme cold and of course lots of road crap and crud. Let me know what you guys have found to be successful for winter protection.

BSD has been easier to work with the TW. It doesnt last quite as long but I like the results. Found the same. Seems like to apply either you can us a higher GSM as it will spread better and more evenly. But buffing in...high GSM is terrible for once either one of these sets they get grabby...

I figured it out, use a damp MF when streaking occurs. It seems to work.

Everyday beading. 845 side stopped beading about 6 weeks, TW was still beading into the 10th week. No chemical test as for me that is not a realistic everyday test of typical rain, road film and so on. If I am putting super cleaner or purple on it I am obviously trying to strip it off...

Multiple, one to apply/wipe on and one to buff.

So far Megs 110/210 Ultimate Compound/Polish works well. I have a new bottle of BF One Step I cant wait to try as well but Megs 110/210 are made for these kinds of paint. I like 105/205 as well but not for a tesla. Pad is key also...not sure I remember what is the right one.

Agree, use this stuff alot and overspray and so on is why you spray it on the MF first.

I’m courious to what you guys use for your soft finish kit. Such as soap, wash mitt, drying towels, cutting pads, one step polish, wax, buffing towels, and so on. My kit is not there yet as I dont have the experience some of you have. My soap is gold class or megs wash and wax (carnuba)...

I have seen some excellent results from these all-in-one products. Griots One-Step is great for light correction and leaves a nice durable protection. HD Speed is another one. What other all in ones do you guys like?

Garage, but last year in chicago we have a number of days below zero...we had one week solid that was averaging 10-35 below! Lots of ice and salt on the roads. I drive about 70 miles a day mostly hwy. So I would like something that holds up.

Dr this stuff sounds like it sits in between Ultimate Polish and 205. With more Oils.
