I massage in some diluted Megs degreaser and let each pad sit till the vehicle is done then I rinse that out and soak in hot water with DP pad rejuvenate. I'll let them soak 30mins to one hour then rinse well. Even my white pads come out looking nearly new.

It has that "ghetto" touch no doubt.

I kinda feel that Rupes sees a large majority of its customers as either body shops or "high end" detailers and if the machine just happens to crap out after a year either pay to hopefully get it repaired or buy a new one cause they've got their money's worth doing $1,000+ details. I think...
