I see no improvement with M205

agreed. M205 (and other similar products) is actually the chemical that I use the least. I barely face a situation that I feel I have to finished it down with M205. Most cases M105 or UC already get the job done and I see zero difference after using M205 on test spot. I believe some very soft...

Meguairs MF pad with Ultimate Compound

well I had some bad luck with Meg's microfiber pads and M105/UC. chemicals were dried way too fast, and the correction didn't impress me. I can tell a clearly better cutting ability when using LC Hydrotech pads. May be I just used the wrong tech with those MF pads? IDK. wish you have good...

International detail projects! need some inputs!

Hey all. Long story short, I am planning a trip out of U.S. I will visit few countries. I have 2 friends there they ask me to "show off" my skills. Of cause I won't let this chance go LOL. So i have two cars to detail during the trip. according to what they say both are in OK condition, and they...

    Glazed before Waxed...now what?

WOW! This is totally awesome. I have a few bottles of #7 and Deep crystal polish(Meguiar claimed it's the closest one to #7). I barely used them. And now I got a great reason to used them! Awesome tips!

    Question about glaze.

just my 2 cents: If you need to hide swirls, glaze helps If you have single stage paint, glaze helps If you have clear coat paint, and the car is polished already, the help of glaze is minimum. likely you wont tell any difference before and after using glaze.

Need some advice and input on this.. mobile detailing

just my 2 cents, if you aim at doing some full detailings, the minimum space requirement is a normal 4 door-sedan. even that you have to do quite a lot of DIYs to make the water tank sit on the back seats. If you insist with your mustang, your service is very much limited on 2 bucket wash and...

    pad completely dry before use?

depends on how damp. if you sandwich the pad with paper towels and easily squeeze water from pad to towels then that's prob. too damp to be used. If there is barely any water, then you fine just my 2 cents

Meguiars #20 Sealant Vs Meguiars #21

Ultimate compound and ultimate polish: good combo for sure. Just note the ultimate polish itself is really mild. It can only be used as a followup product, not even close to 205. A better combo is Ultimate compound and swirl X 2.0(not scratch X 2.0) tho- Good luck with water spots. they could...

How to remove glass contamination? Or is it..

few things come to my mind: 1\ try clay 2\ if you have any good band compound, give it a try before using Ceri Glass 3\ Is it tinted window? Those light spots may be the areas where the tint failed to bound very well? I saw similar things, almost all on tinted windows, kind of like a clear coat...

Had really bad luck with Megs MF pads, wrong technique?

After seeing many ppl swear by MF pads, I picked up some and tried the first time with my GG6 polisher and 5 inch LC backing plate. The pads used are Meg's 5 inch cutting pads. However there are the problems I had with it: 1\ Pads are heated quickly: usually after around 4 section passes. I...

5 day correction detail 997 Turbo

Awesome job! Question: How did you get rid of those water spots? I have some water spots just like those in the pic. There is no way I can completly remove it. tried M105 and yellow pad combo, not work. Tried 2000 sanding(lightly sanding), not work. I am too nervous to thoroughly sand the area...

first impression with IronX spray and questions

My apologies in advance, I was in a hurry so didn't take any cellphone/ camera with me. So a little background: I am a lazy person I kept my water hose and nozzle in open area, so when today I was ready to try the IronX I found they are stolen, hopefully by another enthusiast. So I ran to the...

Meguiars Ultimate Polish - cut level??

Asked this question before on meguiars forum. I asked them if ultimate polish could remove 2500 sanding marks. They said UP is simply not designed to remove any sanding marks. Compared to m205 which can remove 2000, UP is quite a bit lesser aggressive. I only use UP as a follow up step after...

How to remove 2000 grit sanding marks completely?

I never had any problem using DA+orange pads+M105 to remove 2000 sanding marks, as long as using light and even pressure when sanding. On soft one-step or CC, I can even remove 2000 with hand applicator and M105 Just my 0.02
