    Jescar & Collinite

Could you elaborate on the ceramic part? I have the Power Lock plus Sealant I've used on my cars and the container nor the website doesn't say anything about a ceramic content. They do make a ceramic liquid spray wax though. I want to use this on a new zero turn mower to seal up the paint before...

    Bf spray sealant question

In my experience it prolongs the underlying BF polymer sealant or probably any other polymer sealant, gets rid of spots not removed by washing and leaves a shine similar to original base layer. Then every 6-8 months reapply a base layer and not worry about stripping everything down since you're...

    Bf spray sealant question

I recently applied two coats of Jescar Power Lock Plus Polymer Sealant (Menzerna) to a clean and clayed surface. I have a bottle of Backfire Wet Diamond Polymer Spray and wondering if that is compatible with Power Lock? I believe they are similar compounds?? Would use the BFWD on occasion for a...

Synthetic polymer spray detailer over a carnauba wax?

I am applying Jescar (Menzerna) Power Lock Plus to a clean surface. Many folks talk about a topper of a carnauba such as Collonitte 845, etc. My question is can I apply my Blackfire Synthetic Polymer quick detailer over a carnauba? Is it compatible and when I want to refresh the Jescar will I...

Confused on Backfire new logo new product

I went to order some more Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection and all I can find is a new logo bottle of Blackfire Paint Sealant. Did they change the formulation? Also only available in 32 oz. for $$$. Not economical for only 2 cars. Is the "new" product compatible with my former...

    Better than Rain-x?

used Pinnacle BL glass sealant on my windshield this spring. Haven't driven the car much in the rain and getting ready for a 2000 mile road trip. Can't find a lot here specifically on this exact topic. My question is, should i reapply the black label again now and if so should i use the cleaner...

    Love me some Collinite 845

I use Blackfire Wet Diamond normally and have had good results but have used 845 on leading edges and wheels. Now I'm wondering about putting a coat of Collonite 845 over the top of the BFWD. Would this be advisable? I'm looking for extra protection in anticipation of a 2,000 mile road trip or...

Best Cleaning Method on Road Trip

That's a lot of gear for a road trip. Seems like a water wand at a car wash kept a safe distance away, wet the car, and then go with a product from there, wipe and go. Great suggestions, just seems cumbersome when I just want to wash off the dust or some road film from driving in the rain.

Best Cleaning Method on Road Trip

I use Blackfire Wet Diamond as my final sealant on my 2016 Dodge SRT. My question is, when I'm on a road trip or otherwise don't have access to water and bucket, etc. what is the best way to clean the car? In the past I would use a self serve car wash and just use plain water from the wand and...

    Is Iron-X really necessary?

If my car comes wrapped from the factory I guess I'm still skeptical I need this step, but may be a good thing for the wheels before I seal them as they are probably exposed. For older cars I can see the possible necessity. An interesting topic nonetheless to keep an eye on. Will probably try...

How To Use BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish

I have a Charger SRT 392 Granite Metallic on order and just lining up my detailing process after claying. Have used this process on prior cars but was never sure about washing after the GEP. I would assume I don't need to wash after claying and before the GEP as well?? Thanks

How To Use BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish

Do I need to wash the car after GEP and prior to applying BFWD?

    BFWD with Fire over Ice

Ok thanks. For sure I would apply the wax over the sealant but given that you recommend to start over when reapplying the sealant I will probably forgo the wax as it get too time consuming and BFWD is pretty great by itself and then using a compatible spray touch up in the meantime.

    BFWD with Fire over Ice

Allow me to rephrase my question. If I do BFWD and then apply Midnight Sun Ivory Carnuaba can I then reapply BFWD in 4-6 months without using a gloss enhancing polish, just the BFWD, and then perhaps a second coat of Midnight Sun again? Thanks

    BFWD with Fire over Ice

If I do BFWD followed by Fire over Ice carnuba and in 3 months want to reapply BFWD can I just reapply or will the carnuba prevent bonding? Don't want to have break down my sealing job each time but want to try the Ice to see if there is an improvement in the look. The paint will be a 2016 Dodge...

    Is Iron-X really necessary?

After claying, whether or not I use IronX, I intend to polish and then apply BFWD.

    Is Iron-X really necessary?

I have a 2016 Charger SRT Metallic Grey on order. If the car ships with plastic, etc. to Kansas City do I really need to use IronX on the paint prior to claying? I plan a pre wash polish after claying and then BFWD. I can see ironX on the wheels perhaps but I don't want to perform steps that may...

my first time using collinite 845

So I want to detail a new boat trailer in a couple of weeks. It is red and wondering if there would be any advantage to topping off the BFWD that I already have on hand with the Collonite 845 Insulator? BF is what I have been using on my vehicles past couple of years and it seems to give good...
