    DA Upgrade Questions

I went from the GG6 to the Rupes Mark II 15 recently myself. The Rupes is smooth as melted butter compared to the GG6, I don't shake my hands to death anymore. The correction power compared to the GG6 is a big jump, and as good as one would expect from a premium machine. I went with the 15...

    Need a new Soap/Shampoo

Another vote for Optimum Car Wash. It cleans well, foams nicely, it's inexpensive, and it smells great to boot!

    Best All Around Polishing Compound?

I'm partial to Menzerna FG400 as well. A close second is PF2500, it's more of a polish than a compound.

Please Check My Product Order List

There would be no harm in taking that approach, you always want to go with the least aggressive method to achieve the desired results. That said- you will, at some point, come across some defects that will be impossible to remove without going more aggressive. In those cases, it would be very...

Rupes LHR 15 Legacy or Mark II

I recently got a Mark II 15, and I faced the same question myself. I looked at it this way: I was already spending good money for a polisher, so why not spend a little extra and get the best possible version? It's surely better than getting the original and still yearning for the Mark II, and...

    FLEX XFE7-15 150 Unboxing/FLEX picture comparison

Nice purchase, Mike! I was really on the fence on whether to get one of these, or the Rupes 15. I ended up with the Rupes, simply because my cars are a bit more 'curvacious' than most and the 5.5" pads work better for me. If there was a 5" backing plate available, I would have went the other...

    what's your weather currently like?

It's currently 36 where I'm at, supposed to get up to 54 today and warm up even more by the end of the week. It snowed here Friday night, but it was gone by mid-morning yesterday.

Tested out the new Rupes 15 Mark II

Great to hear you're happy with your new machine, I took the plunge myself and my Mark II 15 should be here on Monday :buffing:

Newbie! Making the plunge tomorrow!!! Need some advice (more like reassurance)

I agree with the above, especially with ordering more pads. An F-150 is a good amount of ground to cover, so I'd get another 3 orange and 3 white pads. Keep them clean and rotate them out often, and 5 will get you where you need to be. If your budget allows it, I would look into getting Menzerna...

What is on my bumper and is it fixable?

I used to see this at the body shop I used to work at, some dealers will hire a company that operates out of a van to fix scrapes/scratches in bumpers in order to save a few bucks, and they'll spot-spray them in the dealership's parking lot. Most all of the repairs I've seen them do have some...

Just when I thought I had everything I needed...

I'd look into the LC Thinpro pads as well, they're on special right now $60 for 6 6.5" pads. Should work great with your new MKII.

    Your very first "Wow" wax

My first 'WOW' wax was actually M26, I had only used the standard OTC stuff beforehand. The paint looked really good of course, but the biggest factor was the feel of the paint afterwards, it was unlike anything I had previously encountered.

What can I discount for you this weekend?

Nick, I've been wanting to pull the trigger on a Rupes Mark II 15 and some Thinpro pads for months now... anything to help push me over the edge? :xyxthumbs:
