It worked except for the porous plastic bumper caps, and the powder coated bumper. I tried vinegaring the bumper AND pressure washing it. That helped, but it is still there. What would you reccomend? Something like forever black to mask it?

My approach is somewhat odd... But it works! -Clay the windows if needed -Use clay lube concentration of dp rinseless W&G with clean MF just as you would a glass cleaner -Lightly buff with clean microfiber (optional)

If you want to practice, use a silver car if you have one; that way it won't be obvious if you mess up. Alternative options are to find a free hood or something on Craigslist list; or the next time you have to get a rental: get it in black, and practice on that.
