    Polish chrome window trim?

Light scratches from washes before my time is the issue. And a little extra shine never hurts!

    Polish chrome window trim?

Hey guys. Chrome trim that runs under my side windows needs polishing. Is it safe to use a metal polish or should I use a light paint polish? It's on a Mercury Milan so I doubt that it's much more than a light chrome plate if even that. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

Maybe you didn't notice what kind of community you registered to be a part of? This is a detail forum. Car detailing is called that, because of the detail that goes into it. We read the posts and reviews, because of the details included. Dave tells his story, with the details included. Race is...

    Seriously

Show some mercy. That's cute. Now I wasn't there to see how it happened, but I imagine some loud ass woman flying off the handle at first mention of responsibility or fault. Not because she's guilt free, and not because she's offended, but because that's how she's learned to manipulate her way...

    Detailing Advice Needed

You've got the right idea... Polish should be done in a deepening or corrective means, which can be difficult, near impossible, by an untrained hand. Wax or sealant on an uncorrected car is wayyy better than no protectant at all. So yeah, get your clay bar kit and get a good feel for that, then...

Giveaway! New & Improved DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss

I'm in... I started rinseless washing about 3 months ago (not exclusively) to practice for my winter time car care. I've done it probably 10-12 times now between my car and my wife's and its really helped keep car care manageable. It's such an easy process as long as your car isn't too dirty...

Pearl white Fusion, prepped and DP Paint Coat

Thanks guys, I've got to get this stuff on car with some color. Bro in law was amazed at how it looks now, but maybe taken back a bit by the processes? I'm letting him know about two bucket washes, grit guards, and good towels in hopes that he might bite, but dude works 60-70,hours week running...

Pearl white Fusion, prepped and DP Paint Coat

Well, here it is Geeks. My second weekend wit the new DP paint coat. Today was my sister's Pearl white tri coat metallic (or whatever in the heck the name is) Fusion. This car is driven. A lot. And washed, well, not often enough. My brother in law called me last week asking if I knew anybody who...

    Hello from New Braunfels, Texas!

Yep, it was. I'm in Louisville. I left my store management position at a Big O (tire and service center) to go help folks and work for a "top 100 company" Man, is hindsight something... Everything for a reason though! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

    Meg's Ultimate Wax...

Go get it. You won't be disappointed! It can get kinda streaky but will buff out if caught early. I've used it on my wife's car multiple times now and its extremely durable. Last time I did it was in early June and it still holds up like day 1. I use the D156 after every other wash on her car so...

    Hello from New Braunfels, Texas!

Welcome! Last time I saw something about New Braunfels, I was reading about being laid off from my job via email at 630 on a Friday... If you see anybody I'd like to punch down there, punch em for me! I'll send you a few samples, LOL! I'm just kidding, unless you'll do it...:xyxthumbs::welcome:

NEW! DP Paint, Wheel, & Glass Coatings + Coating Prep Polish!

I'm doing a pearl white Fusion within a week or two, I'll definitely try the led light behind my swipes. Sounds like my issue was not seeing it, and when my applicator started to drag, I assumed I needed more. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

NEW! DP Paint, Wheel, & Glass Coatings + Coating Prep Polish!

The prep polish is specifically to remove compound/polishing oils and deep clean the paint. I can't answer the fade/if question, but remember, you can top this coating with another wax you prefer. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

    Swirls marks - beginners question

You've got the right idea in wanting to make your truck look better, but it'll take a lot more than getting some compound. As another member said, you'll def want and probably need a DA polisher. There's a thread covering the most cost effective one to get, from Harbor Freight. There's many much...
