OK I am hooked - Pressure washer and Foam Cannon!

I hear you. One other side benefit that this approach has had is the number of towels I have to wash. Last two times I had 1-2 towels (on an XC 90!). Now you still wait for a full load to run it but you can put it off for a longer time. Sent from my iPhone using Autogeekonline mobile app

OK I am hooked - Pressure washer and Foam Cannon!

That is my experience. The hose pours a lot more water per minute then the pressure washer. Sent from my iPhone using Autogeekonline mobile app

OK I am hooked - Pressure washer and Foam Cannon!

Interesting. I think it does use more product but I start with a GG gallon size and price is very good here. I am finding the surface fairly dry without spots and I just have to do the windows. YMMV Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

OK I am hooked - Pressure washer and Foam Cannon!

Thanks to the guidance from fly07sti I have been hooked on these two equipment upgrades. I don't have to touch the paint unless a certain location warrants it. Maybe it doesn't get as clean as it would be if I used a mitt but boy it is much faster and I don't introduce new scratches. I think...

    Rotary swirls?

So this is a follow up to another post on a mirror repair. There was a slightly raised spot in the repaired paint. I figured he just ran a rotary on it so seeing buffer trails, assuming that is what I am seeing here, is not that surprising. When I have some 'extra time' I will run my GG 3" or...

Wondering how worried to be about spidering on a used pre-detailed black Lexus I'm looking at buying

If it were me I would step away from this purchase. Just too many risks for not that much benefits. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    Raised bumps in paint.

I actually don't know the exact process but assumed it included some wet sanding and polishing with an AIO? Sent from my iPhone using Autogeekonline mobile app

Do any of you "spot compound"?

I do spot compound as well. This is mainly because my XC 90 has aug a large amount of real estate that I would not have enough time to dedicate for a full correction. I did do the four doors/hood a few years back now but I spot compound now with HD speed. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

    Raised bumps in paint.

My Volvo XC 90 was the victim of a hit and run and the left driver's side mirror was smashed. I ended up filing a claim and it was a good thing I did because the parts/labor came out to $1822. I found some scratches where I assume the mirror or glass had hit the paint. When I got the car back...

Rinseless wash, clay barring and buckets...

I have read that as well. The dish soap would remove historical sealants/waxes. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Thanks - did see that but was a bit hesitant to unfasten it.

    Smash and Grab Clean Up

Yes it is mostly sheet metal below. There are some foam pads which I had to dry out as well. The rain has been heavy since that day.
