DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

Okay, cool. The mount just arrived yesterday, so I'll probably take that with me. Good call on the washers! I tried to buy the 2200 lumen 5000k Polaroid bulbs that hernandez.art13 recommended. I had the page open, made my post here, and when I went to buy them they had just sold out!

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

So these are single diode, right? By that, I mean there is just one light and not a bunch of lights clustered. tnecniv provided a picture of each here. It looks like they're single diode from the picture, but I just wanna be sure. Thank you for posting the pictures by the way. Those things...

Pad Survey: How many do you use?

Pad Survey: How many do you use? I'm asking for two reasons: Trying to gauge whether I'm using too many A little project I'm working on This can vary a lot depending on the type of job, of course. So, on average... How many pads for a full vehicle in bad, decent, or good condition? How...

Need Advice: SNOBRuM or Snow Joe

Thanks for the input everybody, I'm gonna risk the extension jamming up and order the Snow Joe Master Kit that includes the Ice Master scraper. I probably won't even need to extend it, but if I do, Angus showed that the broom will attach to a standard extendable pole, and hopefully the scraper...

Snow Joe Telescoping Snow Broom In Action!

That's cool, I'll just have to try it myself :props: I agree about the small scraper, and I plan on getting this combo. But in heavier snow, it will be harder to reach the middle of the windshield with that thing without leaning into the snow, hence the appeal of the long scraper. But thanks a...

Snow Joe Telescoping Snow Broom In Action!

I didn't even think about this, nice! That's great that the threading matches! They looked pretty different in that first picture, had me worried haha. But, I think I was unclear about what I was trying to do... I was actually wondering if we could take that scraper off and put it on the...

Snow Joe Telescoping Snow Broom In Action!

How does the scraper attach to the pole? I couldn't see that part in the pictures. From this photo the pole doesn't look like it has any special features for attaching the scraper. I'm thinking I could just replace the pole with a standard extendable pole from the hardware store if it becomes an...

Need Advice: SNOBRuM or Snow Joe

Thanks for the warning. I have a Mustang, so I doubt I'll even need to extend it. I'm just concerned I won't be able to reach the middle of the windshield, without leaning, using the Ice Master Multi-Blade Ice Scraper. Haha that review had me cracking up, and it was helpful, so thank you. I...

Need Advice: SNOBRuM or Snow Joe

SNOBRuM or Snow Joe These appear very similar, so similar I didn't realize there were two different products until I went to buy one. As far as I can tell the differences are: Snow Joe's handle attaches to the head for storage Snow Joe extends 3" farther Snow Joe has a scraper on the broom...

    DIY Pad Washer

Hmm... I know what you mean about the cones, but how would the extra width would make a difference? Also, how far do the cones move down? I think mine move farther since I had to get those big springs from Lowe's, so that means more water volume spraying out. The smaller holes could actually...

    DIY Pad Washer

That's good to know. Thank you, I was going to ask what was better about the actual functionality. Are the holes smaller? I might try making them smaller on the next one.

    DIY Pad Washer

I actually made a splash guard for this. I guess I never posted the instructions for that... As far as the center piece, that would definitely be nice to have. I made a cad model of it that I was going to print, but then everyone gave me crap about legal issues.

    DIY Pad Washer

Here's a little winter update for those that are interested: The paint didn't really work out. It was kind of sticky, wouldn't fully cure, and I didn't trust it to stay on while in use. I didn't want to ruin a pad to find out, so I have never used the painted version. If I had been more...

Question for owners of the Bucket Dolly

Thanks a lot for the info! Do you think I would need to match the post length, or would there be room for a longer post? I've been wondering the exact same thing. It really sucks, these bucket dollies are expensive enough (overpriced IMO) already. Swapping out the casters could nearly double...

Question for owners of the Bucket Dolly

I appreciate it. For now, I'm using cheap plant holders as dollies, and I've wasted several ounces of shampoo refilling spilled buckets. They also only have 3 wheels, so they tip a lot easier. But I just got a cart that has about 4-inch casters, and it moves over the cracks much easier. Thanks...
