    AG Email Question

Well for some reason Gmail only targeted that one email address for me. The others still go to my promotions folder, maybe because I have starred emails from those addresses. I'll okay this one right away. Thanks guys!

    AG Email Question

Gmail put an AutoGeek email in my spam folder. It looks like a legit email, but I wanted to be sure before I set that email address as trusted. The email in question was from September 16th, and it was titled "Flash Sale - Today Only!" Is [email protected] a real AG email address...

Which coating will fill the Opti-Coat 2.0 void?

Now that Opti-coat 2.0 is no longer available (to most of us), what is the next best paint coating? Anyone who has tried multiple coatings, please share your experiences here. Which had the best longevity, best anti-static properties, easiest to apply, best overall protection? I would do a...

    Lake Country Chart Inconsistencies

David, thank you very much for the explanation! I had no idea it was that complicated. My Lake Country pads are all CCS, so far. And thank you for providing your contact info. I'll have to shoot you an email later with my specific questions. :xyxthumbs:

    Lake Country Chart Inconsistencies

Yeah I figured they would get back to me eventually. Good to know though; thanks for the info! :props: By the way, I called Chemical Guys, and the foam used in the Hex Logic pads is their own.

    Lake Country Chart Inconsistencies

Well then, now this is even more interesting... I know they had listed that green as more aggressive than orange because I found this chart. I'm hoping it's okay to post that since they're part of PBMG. So either one of the colors (euro green or pink) was placed in the wrong spot on the chart...

How to properly use Adam's GWDT

Hey, when I started, my towel technique would have given most people here nightmares. And, I'm willing to bet there was a time in your life that you also thought drying just meant wiping without any regard for trapped dirt, applied pressure, softness of the towel or paint, or actively trying not...

    Lake Country Chart Inconsistencies

I'm aware of the euro foam green, but this is not it. That green was below orange on the list, above yellow. This green is between orange and white, according to LC.

    Lake Country Chart Inconsistencies

Yup. That's why I brought it up. I figured someone might have the answers through experience. And, I wanted to warn people, new or experienced, who might be misusing the pads based on incorrect information. I think I'm going to try calling Lake Country later to see if I can clear this up.

How to properly use Adam's GWDT

Some people also like to spray a QD or a no-rinse product when drying. It keeps the towel gentle on your paint, and it helps prevent pesky water spots.

    Lake Country Chart Inconsistencies

I'm comparing pad descriptions from different sources. They're all similar, but there are strange differences, sometimes within the same website. For instance, for the 4 inch gray LC CCS pad, AutoGeek recommends "Use with machine glaze or finishing polish." Then for the 5.5 inch version of the...

    Incredibly Cheap Finds

Their website just says "safe for pure chrome metal wheels." The purple Hot Rims, All Wheel & Tire Cleaner, is safe for clear coated wheels.

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

It definitely wasn't a speed issue. The first couple times I tried it, I was working by hand. I tried it will a DA but I kept the speed low. I guess it could have been a bad bottle. However, I have talked to others who have experienced the same issues.

Chemical Guys only sells it in a kit with a bucket, grit guard, etc. But, you can get the gamma seal lids by themselves all over the place online in a variety of colors, or they have them at Lowes in white or black and Home Depot in just black. And the one Chemical Guys has pictured with the kit...

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

It dried really quickly and was a horrible pain to get off once it did. I tried doing tiny sections and immediately wiping it off, but it was still drying up immediately. I really like the M205 though.

    Bleeding towel frustration

Yeah, they still work, I know. It's just annoying. It would actually be less annoying if it happened to all of them so they still matched, but it really bugs me when I look at my 9 PakShak silver surfers, and 1 pink surfer.

It was just way too harsh. I posted a thread about it a while back, in which I learned about how dangerous it is as well.

    Bleeding towel frustration

Actually, you make a good point. They were Chemical Guys. I know they're not precious Cobras, but they are quality towels, except for the dye apparently.

    Bleeding towel frustration

Yeah I always do a couple cycles before I use them. Luckily it only shows on one other towel, ironically from the same brand. I think since I hit the bottom of the stack this time I may have used a couple that had never been used before. I guess from now on I'll try a third wash on new towels.
