Chrome cleaner (what should I use)

Yep, I have the English Custom Metal polishes, and love them... especially the Showman's Ultra fine. My second choice would be the polishes made by Heavy Metal Polish... also great stuff! The medium and ultra fine would probably do the trick, unless the wheels are really bad. Then, you might...

    Spray Wax

The other folks have given you some great options. I'll give you another... Mothers new Reflections Spray Wax (Synthetic). It is excellent stuff, and it can be found locally, or ordered online. One BIG NOTE... Read the back of the bottle, as Mothers has just changed the formula. Until just...

Chrome cleaner (what should I use)

Sounds like they need polishing... not just cleaning with a wheel cleaner. Can you tell us if they are clear-coated chrome, or bare chrome?

    Sealing windows

Yep, I just did the Aquapel thing last weekend. Easy to apply, and no streaking. If it lasts as long as I'm told it will, I'm going to be extremely satisfied... and it better! It's not cheap!

    Engine cleaning

All the more reason to keep the engine compartment clean with frequent "light" wipe-downs. Then, one won't have to resort to the "heavy-duty" cleaning.

    Engine cleaning

There are a lot of excellent products and methods to clean the engine compartment. I'm sure you will see a lot of them here. The best advise I can give you is this... Once you've got the engine compartment clean... keep it clean! Take a few minutes after every wash, and wipe down a few things...

    Why I like Meg's #26

Looks very nice! Ole #26 does have great gloss and shine. However, it really lacks durability. Of course, if durability is not an issue, it's a fine choice. If you like Meguiar's stuff and you want to get it incredibly WET looking, try some Meguiar's Pro Hand Polish (#81) prior to the #26...

Am I doing more harm then good

That makes a BIG difference. As long as there is no dirt on it, and the dust is at a minimum, any good QD should work fine.

Am I doing more harm then good

Well, if you car is an every day driver, I would consider doing some type of wash once a week. Consider the Optimum No Rinse wash as an alternative... great stuff! I rarely, if ever, QD a dusty or dirty car. My QD's only get used during my drying process, after washing /drying and after waxing.

    Stoner's Invisible Glass Cleaner!!

I may have to try this Surf City stuff. I have used all the others, including IG, Sprayway, Meguairs NXT Glass cleaners and others. My "current" personal favorite is Hope Perfect Glass. It's inexpensive, and available at my local Lowe's or Home Depot.

    Car wash soap

No Car Quest, but we have two NAPA stores locally. The folks at the one NAPA store never heard of Duragloss?????????? :D I never thought to ask the folks at the other store if they could order it. Not to worry though, I plan on getting some with my next order at AG... when the time is right. :D

    Car wash soap

On the car would be better. :D Anyhow, Meguiar's GC or Mothers car wash or both pretty good shampoos. If I could get 901 locally, I would sure try it.

    Chemical Guyz?

Nope, but if you do a search for Chemical Guys at other detailing sites, I'm sure you will find lots of info.

    Chemical Guyz?

I've heard of some serious quality control problems with ##'s stuff... either by accident, or on purpose. Whatever the case, one of the spin-off companies of ##'s might be a better choice.

    Amazing Souveran!

There are a number of fine carnauba waxes out there that are very, very close to Souveran when it comes to looks, at a much better price. There are also a quite a few that have more durability than Souveran. However, there is just something special about the look of Souveran. Can't really...

    Towel Dry with a QD

Most recently, I've used the Guzzler. However, I've also used PakShak's Ultra softs, and Excel Details Monterey WW towels. Never had any issues with them, and I use them all with a QD for drying.

Optimum No Rinse as a QD?

Yep, sounds like a very versatile product... just what I am looking for. My "goto" QD for gloss is also FK425 (and the rest of my stash of Final Detail). I plan on trying the DG Marine Detail Spray and the FC&S next spring. Thanks again everybody. :righton:
