Thinking of buying a cheap rotary, questions..

Sorry. Maybe it is just because I am so used to Dewalt's, I just find anything less quality so "cheap." Then again, I first learned on a quality buffer, so I can see why you could get away learning on a $30 one. But yeah O.C., my next investment is going to be a Makita because the Dewalt is just...

Thinking of buying a cheap rotary, questions..

Yeah but cheaper rotaries do not function like quality rotaries... so he won't neccessarily get a "feel" of what a true rotary is like.

Thinking of buying a cheap rotary, questions..

Besides... you cannot even compare a cheap rotary against a quality one.... so you will base your experience off the cheap one instead of experimenting a quality one

Thinking of buying a cheap rotary, questions..

Do not buy a cheap rotary. Just save and buy quality, trust me. I am a machine polisher enthusiast and I have seen first hand how cheap rotaries are like. You CANNOT apply pressure to them and have to use ONLY the edge of the pad to get correction done. They are not worth it... and you will be...

Remove wax with PC and pad?

I am striving to get the Indigo/Arctic once they go on BOGO again.... but I have around 7 shamrocks and all of them lint bad. Weird thing is... they didn't lint that much at first or I was not paying close attention. Now, I just just them for ONR. I will look into the 530's though.

Remove wax with PC and pad?

I think I am going to stop using plush microfibers and just use the wax removal ones that AG sells. My plush ones are linting like crazy lately... even though they weren't this bad at first. Man... and I JUST missed the BOGO on he wax removal cloths :(

Newbie with new swirled black Denali

I am in bit of a rush right now, but I will try to answer your general questions. You will need a 5.5 inch pad to go with the PCXP. Also, WSR will not hurt the paint! Go ahead and use it, but I would rec. the Megs 105 and 205 to really take out those swirls! Since you are using the XP, don't...

Menzerna sealing wax and finishing glaze : Can you jewel paint with these ?

Because you are leaving too much on the table with a DA.... not much as an effect as the rotary. Although, the 3401 is def. capable...
