I use this for cleaning, and really like it: SONAX Wheel Cleaner, all wheel cleaner, chrome wheel cleaner, aluminum wheel cleaner, full effect wheel cleaner I also use 845 - no complaints there.

I agree that I would want to park in the sun as opposed to under a tree. I have an assigned parking spot where the front of the car is under a tree. Let's just say I frequently remove bird bombs, etc.

I am still putting my winter prep plan together. I haven't used 845 on my wheels before, but I think I am going try it out considering a lot of people like it over other wheel specific products. My car is outside year round, and we live by the water in the northeast.
