    What car should I get?

It's really NOT the mystery that everyone makes it out to be. The engine itself is very simple, much more so than a piston engine. Major things to remember... check your engine oil regularly, it is designed to burn a little. And use the rev range religiously, driving a rotary like a granny...

    What car should I get?

I'd suggest a rotary RX-8, but I'm biased. If you're a person that loves to drive and interact with the car, there's nothing like the high revving rotary. On a sensible side, try out the Mazdaspeed 3. One of the quickest in the bunch and gives you Mazdas unique feel of the road.

    Rotary or Flex 3401

I've never had any more luck clearing swirls with my Makita than I have had with the PC, Flex 3401 or the Cyclo. And, I don't think more than 20% of rotary users can finish hologram free, so you'll always need to use your Griots to finish. My vote is the Flex 3401. I don't think it'll cut your...

    Taking the Plunge

    1) A professional looking business card (be careful of the cheapest route) 2) A professionally done brochure (use your own pictures) 3) A website (which you'll also want on your business card and brochures). Take some time to learn how to optimize your Google search presence. 4) Be prepared...

I agree, it may look fine on the tire when first applied, but longevity is not going to be there. My preference: Meguiars Gold Class Endurance High Gloss Tire Gel is a high gloss version of Meguiars Endurance Tire Protectant Gel.

Is it safe to wetsand a brand new car?

Think about it for a loooooong time! It may just be me, but I can't imagine the orange peel would be so bad that I would wet sand the entire car when it's brand new. You're certainly compromising the clear coats longevity. Is it going to be a show car? Daily driver?

    Doorjams?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'll vote for BOTH. Undoubtedly, the customer will notice that you didn't do it, no matter which detail you were asked to do. They don't want to hear you explain why you didn't do it. They'll just see that it's dirty and think less of you. As a side note; I would just wipe the largest areas of...

    Do you list prices?

I get aggrivated at brochures or internet ads/websites that promote a product or service, and then at the bottom state, "Call for prices". Unless it's a one-of-a-kind item, or the only guy in town that provides the service, I move on. It's just my feeling, but a customer shouldn't have to...

    DA Carpet Cleaning attachment

I get plenty of action from the brush on lower speeds, 1-3. Any faster and I tend to sling my cleaning product all over the walls. In my opinion, it's not the spinning of the brush that does the work, it's the back and forth agitation (or oscillation).

Have you guys tried this marketing strategy...?

I agree. So you would have to word it correctly, maybe something like ... "When CLEAN, this car detailed by So-And-So Detailing". :xyxthumbs:

    Interior steam cleaning prices...

I'm considering the addition of a steamer as well, but I'm planning on it decreasing my time spent on each car, as well as giving me a better finished product. I didn't plan on adding it as an option for the customer, at least not on my higher end details. So my detail packages will cost the...
