    Cold weather prep

Ive never used it but I think people use 1z Gummi Pfledge for this. I usually just spray them down with whatever interior protectant Im using when I clean the interior, usually Poor Boys Natural Finish.

Attn: Corvette Owners/Detailers... Interior Product Suggestions

I saw someone post that Cockpit premium doesnt offer any UV protection so I have stayed away from trying it. Does it offer protection similar to what Poorboys Natural finish or something like 303 does?

Winterizing - Best Practice with Wolfgang Sealant question

Ive actually researched this topic quite a bit online and found that Sonus Trim and motor kote dries to a hard satin finish that is very hard to remove. It is similar to the waxy coating applied to the undercarriage and engine compartment from the factory, which lasts a couple years but doesnt...

New Car Want to buy a few products and I need Advice

If I were you, I would not try to purchase all cheapie products to try to cover your whole arsenal with $98. Just get what you need for now. Its a new car and right before winter, plus you have no buffer, so I would just do the following before winter sets in. I am assuming you have a good...

Winterizing - Best Practice with Wolfgang Sealant question

Before Winter I degrease the undercarriage and protect it with Sonus Trim & Motor Kote. If I need to clean the wheel wells or rinse off salt and whatnot, Ill follow up with some Griots or Chem guys Undercarriage spray to add soem more protection. Worked well for me so far and Im up in the...

    Wheel cleaner left tough stains!!

That is supposed to be some pretty strong stuff. I would only use it on badly neglected wheels. For a clear coated multi-piece wheel like that I would use P21S Gel Wheels Cleaner, Chemical Guys gel wheels cleaner, or Meguiar's Multi-Piece Wheel Cleaner. The meguiars is pretty cheap and Ive...

    What glaze to use

This is an old thread but to set the record straight, a Danase rep was on another forum and DWG does provide minor filling capabilities.

    Basic outdoors winter car care?

I read of some people using an undercarriage spray to help protect the undercarriage & engine compartment from salt & grime. Some of these people were people who offroad and such and use the same protection before they go mudding, etc. Anyway I heard good things about Sonus trim and motor...

What do you think of this...

Just buy one of those shop seats with the wheels on it...craftsman makes them among others...any hardware store or homedepots got them...way more sturdy then sitting on the buckets and bucket dolly...plus you can access the buckets while in the seat...

    MF Detergent (make your own?)

ive heard people using woolite. I actually soak some of my interior and cheaper microfibers in woolite before washing in microfiber cleaner to get rid of tough grease and whatnot and they come out fine.

DP Xtreme Foam, either in a foam gun or by hand. Tons of foam and wash mitt really slides across the paint. Love this stuff.

Wolfgang DGPS & Supernatural on Candy White...

I also love Wolfgangs sealant, both the 3.0 Liquid and the spray. I use P21S concours as a topper over the Wolfgangs during the summer for added wetness, but have been toying with the idea of switching over to some Dodo wax lately. I got light paint too, Mercedes Brilliant Silver, and was...

    My Silver 01 ML55 AMG

low 6s. 6.0-6.3 Ive seen in literature before. The truck moves tho, 342hp,375 ft/lb torque bone stock, naturally aspirated 5.4L AMG handbuilt motor. Im a serious sport truck guy, and I was dying to find a good deal on one of these with decent mileage and I bought this one pretty cheap when...

Help cleaning my AMG exhaust tips

I usually use a good quality metal/chrome polish to shine up exhaust tips, but the AMG exhaust tips are pretty scratched up on my 01 ML55 AMG. Im pretty sure these are chrome tips, and i tried some 2000 grit sand paper on a small section to see if it would leave scratches and it looks like it...

Walked away from a Detail Job

Your entitled to your opinion but if you felt perfectly fine about walking away from the job, you probably wouldnt have sought reassurance from people on this forum. IF your rep is as flawless as you say it is, then you would have known before you started what you were in for with the job...

5 exterior shampoos - my observations

The DP Xtreme Foam is easily the best wash ive used and Ive used a good amount (megs, PS21, etc). The foam lasts throughout the wash and hten some, and really sticks to the car. Car comes out very clean and shiny and it smells real nice. Noticibly better then others. Im really falling in...

    wheel cleaner

I can seal the hell out of my wheels and I wash my truck weekly and soap and water will not do the trick on my AMG wheels on my ML55 AMG. I mean it does an ok job, if you scrub the hell out of them but isnt the point of using better products is doing a better job easier. Do what works for you...
